I'm surprised Arsenal aren't all over Cavani. If they want to challenge for the league they can't do it with Giroud up top.

They've still got a weak defence, but they'll have sorted their attacking issues out if they did manage to get Cavani and will bring much needed leadership in the form of Khedira.

Agreed - need a Keeper and Centre Back. Still, they're doing great business.

Arsenal won't spend 120m in one season IMO. The only reason we dropped interest in Cavani because he wanted to be our highest wage player and wanted the highest signing on fees. Arsenal wouldn't give him that either.

I heard that he asked for £300k, that's insanely high, I don't see many clubs going in for him.

Khedira isn't really what they need, he isn't a DM, but he's good enough defensively to be a significant improvement in a midfield that looks a bit fragile with only Wilshere and Ramsey in there, and he's far better than Arteta and Flamini. . Sanchez was an excellent signing. Competition at centre half would make them genuine contenders for the first time in a while IMO.

Things may have changed for the player though. Liverpool and Arsenal are both after a striker so can see some big wages being on offer.

It's what Arsenal need though. They need a world class striker if they really intend on pushing for the title. You're probably right though, they need to spend their money on strengthening their defence rather than spending it all on a striker.

Just shows how much bullshit is posted on Twitter then. Suddenly on Monday after a week of him preferring PSG and a deal moments away he now wants to move to England.

If we offered Rooney for James then I would fly him there myself. However that is never goung to happen.

We all moan about the prospect of signing Cavani and while I agree he is probably a bit too expensive for us, if next season RVP and Rooney pick up a knock and Danny "6 a year" Welbeck or Javier "missing after 10 minutes" Hernandez are leading the line I bet attitudes change quite quickly to the idea of adding another forward.
