Blind bids farewell to Barcelona. Going to do some digging and see in what context they mean.

EDIT: Seems he was there on holiday. Nothing about a transfer.

How strange. They apparently hated the football they played under Dunga and now all of a sudden he's good again?
After the most embarrassing WC ever, they appointed Gilmar (players' agent) to Football Director, and now Dunga. CBF are trying to take the focus of themselves, and giving Brazil a target we love to hate.

In the end, it's sad and filthy. They are going to get a lot of money for fringe players from the now "retired" agent Gilmar, and have in Dunga a dummy to take he blame for everything under the sun.

Brazil is fecked. And has been for a long time. Scolari dropped Palmeiras from A division to B in his last job before the Seleção, and still got the job.

Madrid have a similar model in terms of spending big on young Spanish talent like Ramos, Isco, Illara etc just as we try to do with the likes of Rooney, Rio and Shaw. I bet everyone would be attacking Real if they spent £27m on a young Spanish full-back.

The only difference is that when they are not putting the likes of Jese, Morata, Cassillas, Carvajal, Raul etc in there team, they choose to add Ronaldos and Bales ad opposed to Youngs and Valencias. This is the right model. Our success has gotten us off the hook recently for recruiting players that never had any business being at United. We sign Ashley Young, so we're cooler than Real Madrid who wouldn't ever sign Ashley Young?

They are definitely more lavish than us, but if you can afford it, I don't see why a team would intentionally go into the market to buy sub-standard footballers. I will never get it. It is some sort of trying to be cool or different thing. Unless we are financially challenged, why on earth would a team sell Ronaldo and buy Valencia instead of say, Ribery? logically, it makes no sense. A team should not be criticised for buying top players. Real should only be criticised for buying the ones they don't need, but not for buying Bale instead of Young when they decide they want a winger. Why wouldn't they?
I always get irritated when people mention Real/Barca's model of buying players. They operate on a different level of budget compared to most clubs with them able to negotiate their own tv deals and all. And buying players just for the sake of buying a marquee signing even though they have world class players already just doesn't happen anywhere else as often.

We bought Young to be a squad/backup winger to Nani and Valencia at the time which was perfectly fine since the latter two were two of the best wingers around and Young was good for Villa. Of course things change since then. Both suffered injuries and never quite able to play as well as before consistently.

That's the price Liverpool told the press while 56m is the price Baca claim they paid..

Liverpool received 75 mill EUR, not GBP. They also had to pay Ajax an amount, but the percent of the fee going to Ajax is not reported with any great accuracy, although it's said to be between 3 and 15 percent. That is just over 59 mill GBP minus the amount to Ajax, so from 50 to 57 mill GBP.

Should do like in Norway, they make the betting companies pay for all sports at grass roots level.

Betting companies? How does that work?

I think the Premier League funding it is probably the best option. Or at least a viable one, anyway! There is now a thread for it in the football forum.

@KingJonno12

The guy with supposed football friends and contacts says hummel fee has been agreed, again, its a guy off twitter.

He said last summer that Ronaldo is going to Chelsea....

He in fact said he was going to both Chelsea and then United, in the same summer, and that Mourinho was Fergie's successor, and that Strootman would be United's 1st signing, and that he'd delete his account if Moyes was appointed manager... in other words he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

He is a bullshitter, he said he was 100% sure Ronaldo was going to Chelsea and even placed a bet on it to show his followers

Pereyra isn't a winger, he's a central midfielder / attacking midfielder / 2nd striker, who MAYBE could work as a winger in a 4-3-3, but whenever he's played as a winger for Udinese this season he's been shit apart from maybe one game.

This. Last two seasons he's played pretty much as a CM/AM.

I thought Pereyra is a left winger though?
I thought Pereyra played mainly as a central midfielder last season, i read it somewhere. Or maybe i just confused him with someone else. Anyway as long as Juve are spending their money we can hope, eh?:D

And he is clearly a man of his word...

Well apparently he did that so he could change the odds, cause he was going back to United or whatever. He got stuff right in the past but recently he's been a massive bullshitter.

Since Ravel left he's not really got anything right.
