Don't know if it has been posted yet. I think it is nicer than the home one but I think the Gold looks quite gawky compared to previous sponsors.

Also Marcel Bout, the opposition scout.

Why does he expect more specific talk about transfers etc?

Well the first one was all about his introduction as United manager, first thoughts about the club etc. etc.

Plus, Woodward has sort of contradicted what Van Gaal was saying with his 'watch this space' speech, though I doubt Van Gaal will care for that and probably continue down the same line that he's assessing the current squad etc.

I shuddered a year ago when i started seeing pictures like this with Moyes and his cronies actually in United gear, was only then it began to sink in that we really replaced Alex Ferguson with David Moyes, thank feck that nightmares over. Just a shame it ever happened at all.

Just to post the tweet by that italian guy in proper english (as well as an ''update'' of how stories has developed)

Isnt it funny how we supposedly briefed the papers that we will not pay over the odds for a player last week, and then a week later Woody is there giving it large about transfer funds being limitless.

The uproar those articles caused!

I never saw galactico just as the best player but also the most marketable. Beckham was not even close to be the best player in his position when he went to Real and he was one of the most known galacticos.

He may not have been as good as Figo, but to say he was not even close to being the best right winger is a bit of an exaggeration. He was ranked highly in the world/european POTY awards regularly in the years running up his move to Real.

For my money on his 2001/02 form there couldn't have been more than 1 or 2 better right wingers than Beckham in the world, the only one i can think of off the top of my head is Figo.

If you read the article Woodward repeats that we won't go throwing money about just for the sake of it. A journo has clearly asked him if he'd be prepared to break the transfer window and he's said the funds are there if needed, in a round about way.
