It's just a speculative piece from Telegraaf, not source based.

They are saying that Van Gaal is short of defenders and De Vrij can hope for a call from him if United don't get their rumored first choice in Hummels.

PSG are bonkers if they sign Di Maria and Koke. There is absolutely no way they can do that on top of already spending £40m on Luiz and expect not to be thrown out of CL.

Do you really expect anyone to get thrown out if the CL for breaching FFP?

Certainly not one of the big money teams

If we are seriously interested in De Vrij, then Van Gaal pull should be enough to bring him here. As Woody will say, "money won't be a problem"

Manchester United brand should be enough to get him. It's not like we will compete with Real Madrid.

You'd think given Van Gaal's concerns over our depth at CB one will be brought it in soon.

Tv companies in France would want to take UEFA to task because they would've signed those tv contracts in the knowledge PSG would be there.

Hardly. The spot will go to another French team.

Otherwise tv companies would take UEFA to task because they assumed we'd be there and willing to pay less money.

Yup but some posters might have shot it down saying, "but Roma offer CL", "Lazio offer cool blue t shirt" or something so I used LvG card :p

Indeed. Competing with Roma or Lazio we should usually come on top. I'd like de Vrij here to be honest, I think van Gaal can mould him into a fine defender.

Ya, really liked him at World Cup and he fits well in Van Gaal's '3 at back' formation. Only thing is, we should avoid dilly-dallying and if we want him and make efforts instead of assuming he will choose us. In past, we have lost few players only because other club/managers made the players feel more 'special' or 'needed' (see Ramsey).

This way nobody would be ever punished if UEFA start bothering about the TV contracts. Yes there are way outs but it is not as simple as that. PSG got a fine this time and FFP rules say that if clubs progressively don't improve, fines and punishments will increase. Next time, punishment can be harsher for PSG.

I don't think PSG is the most supported team in France anyway, Marseille and Lyon would probably gather more people in front of TVs.

This isn't in reference to that Liverpool-related tweet, but does anyone else think Sport Witness are quite pro-United? Whenever I see that account discussing United - namely Vidal - it's always with a positive outlook or us and never a negative one.

Pretty sure at least one of the people that runs it is a United fan.

Being positive on.United getting players is the best way to get clicks. Look at the reaction on.here when a paper says United will not get a top player. They are called lying scum and everyone is warned to ignore them.

They clarify rumours and the Vidal rumours just happen o be in favour of those who want to see him playing for United next season.

They do cover a lot of United rumours and I guess that's because they get a lot of traffic by doing so.

Pereyra at Juve, it's official: in the early afternoon the presentation to the media

Would be real nice if this happens. £49m is a whole lot of money but we really do need capable wide men who are not only quick, but can take men on and create things. Might also put us in a better position to play a 4-3-3 too.
