One would think that PSG would have a lot of supporters considering they are based out of one of the biggest cities in the world. Does Paris have any other club or are people just not that bothered about club football there?

We activated a clause in his contract that extended his contract by a year, I guess he wanted another year on top of that which we weren't prepared to give.
Club Rugby is bigger in France, PSG have attracted more support over the last few years because of the players they have signed and the success, vague sort of comparison to Blackburn in the mid-90's, but they were only formed in the 70's and previously the main Parisian team were Racing Club but they are languishing now in the lower divisions. Lot of half-filled stadiums for league matches and you have very small clubs like Evian and Guingamp playing in L1. Another factor is the size of France, for example where I live the nearest top flight club is 150 miles way (Bordeaux) it's like someone living in Luton and their local team are United. Those that are interested in football seem mainly to support Marseille, but the national team is well followed but most of them play abroad. Compare Paris to London for example, London has 12 or 13 professional teams, Paris has one.
United always offer players at that age a one year contract. If Evra wanted to stay, he could have stayed. He shouldn't have expected to be given more than a one year contract.
Thats fine. Fergie had this thing of offering players over 30 a 1 year rolling contract.

It actually wouldn't, they really want rid. The Balotelli rumours have been ridiculous all summer. Milan are completely desperate to get him off their wage book, they keep leaking these stories while Arsene's laughed them off every time he's asked. The only way I see us signing him is if Arsene fancies a bargain on the last day of the window.
