Ahh poor kid, looks like he got belted in the mouth. On first viewing, I thought the first guy was trying to help him out

Except it was defined by personal violence...Specifically a truck driver being dragged from his cab and kicked in the head...something absent from these riots, which are mainly people nicking stuff and burning things...No offence, but not being here, you're just speculating by news footage...Which is (IMO) the only thing in common so far with LA

...or notEDL said:In light of todays events , we have closed the wall for posting. Please let the Police do their job , and stay away from any trouble areas. This is a public order issue , and not the concern of the EDL. As a Londoner I am horrified and saddened by todays events (as we all are) , if you require and further clarification - please contact your division leaders
I guess a man being shot to death is different than a guy getting dragged out of a truck and severly beaten.
But I lived through LA, so I know what it was.
Looks the same.
"I love you like cooked food,"
I'm not trying to get into an argument, but I'm sitting here quite happily in Clapham, and was wandering about quite happily in Brixton today, and your average Joe Londoner isn't in any kind of danger what so ever...It could well get worse, I'm not discounting that possibility at all, but so far the reporting of the "London Riots" is being a bit over exagerrated...Most of London is quite safe and quite normal.
None of these scumbags will go to jail. The Government are too busy closing them down and reducing staff.
Well yes, as the man shot was shot on Thursday by police before any rioting, and the man dragged from the cab was dragged by the angry rioters in the midst of the uproar ...So far our rioters anger hasn't extended to pedestrians and bystanders at all..In fact there have been loads of news reporters and bystanders (including me) just milling around with them without getting in any bother...
And I live in London...
I'm sure it does on Fox

Why are you so certain that your own interpretation of the tv coverage of what happened in LA is correct, yet so dismissive of the interpretion of what went on in London according to the news media?
Is it because of that one video of the guy being dragged from his truck and beaten up? Only I've read plenty of accounts of people being beaten up in London and there's a video on the previous page of some young kid being mugged, whilst bleeding onto the pavement.
I'm sure that police and businesses were the main targets. I'm also sure that this kind of lawlessness will result in people getting hurt if they end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just like that bloke in the truck in LA.
So are the ambulance service supposedly racist too?Yep, up to our nuts in work like fire brigade and police, dosnt help that they targeted some ambulances to wreck last night

The UK Home Secretary
You guys are fecking shit, this bitch was the same during the Student Riots, no answers to actual questions, and even less in terms of action. Also not criticizing individual officers, but riot containment planning by the relevant authorities is laughable.
I'm not saying police should go in, crack skulls and fire off rubber bullets.
But I've seen no water cannons or tear gas, third world countries handle much larger demonstrations/lawlessness in a more coherent and coordinated manner.
It's like the police are completely toothless.
That is just awful. This is what you're up against and it's why I am worrying a little bit more about this now compared to earlier yesterday. Those involved quite simply don't give a flying feck. They seem to be completely void of conscience. I fear as a result of this that vigilante groups will start targeting youths in hoodies and that is when the shit really hits the fan
I really hope this stops soon

...or not
What is it with these people ? The first lesson they learn where-ever the feck they go to study is how to avoid answering a question. It never ceases to amaze me. It makes them all sound the same.
We get it Theresa "this is sheer criminality.".She must have said it at least ten times in her interview on BBC five live without answering the question whether she should bring in the army or the use of water cannons.
So are the ambulance service supposedly racist too?
I thought the party line was still "the police are racist so we're gonna loot innocent people"?What's race got to do with this? There are white, black and brown kids all running riot together. Which is an understandably tricky concept to grasp for someone who's never lived outside a country where you can go a whole day seeing only white faces.
I thought the party line was still "the police are racist so we're gonna loot innocent people"?
This seems to be driven by many things, not just greed - urban deprivation, gang culture, an ingrained distrust of the police and authority, a belief that we live in an age of entitlement where everyone should benefit from consumerism, and yes, the financial mess of the country and the cuts, both of which are impacting most heavily upon the poor inner cities first. Thirty years on from Scarman, and it is plus ca change...
