UK Riots (with the exception of Manchester which has its own thread)

Mockney's in there somewhere...

Its going to kick off again in Hackney again, large groups are gathering again

Yeah they shut down Ealing Broadway shopping centre at 2pm mickey, my mum works there, she was sent home earlier. Apparently the police got a tip off from somewhere that trouble was apparently starting up again in Ealing at some point this evening.

I'm hearing of potential in Southall (although I reckon the public response over there will be strong), Hayes (around the Grapes) and Uxbridge for rioting tonight.

The young unemployed or semi-employed blacks in Tottenham and Hackney, Enfield and Brixton know full well that the system is stacked against them.

Why do people keep talking about blacks? It's just a bunch of kids from estates, their colour will obviously vary with the demographics of the area.

The bunch I wandered through last night that were in a stand-off with the police were mostly Arab, with some black and white kids too. That's because it was Bayswater, not Brixton.

We've been sent home from our offices in Kensington just now. Don't know if there's been a tip off or if it's just because of travel difficulties.

Yh i should. If it gets too bad here, ill have options to go to. Through the chaos mind.

Im hearing rumours that ealing and southall are more likely to be attacked today as well, i doubt much will happen in acton.

If it's safe can you put bods up if needs be.

On closer inspection, I'm not sure it is. Or is it? Plech?

He is partial to a flat cap.

We probably lost Plech a long time ago, what's with you southern sorts wearing northern, hard working mens headwear? Can't say I'm impressed with that behaviour myself.

Back to the Plech issue, he was probably correcting some poor lexical choices from a marauding band of looting wankers.

it kicks off here - then they move and it kicks off there - lewisham - deptford and then woolwich - they know what they are doing - im local now and i know the area and the ease with which these guys can move about the area. well that what its like in greenwich/lewisham

Tonight will be the night of rumours of riots in random places.

I expect small flashpoints but nowt major - no logic behind that though :D

Manchester city centre is bristling with police apparently.
Hope they've got the dogs out. Was impressed with how intimidating they can actually be.

Saw them dealing with some "fans" before an England match once (at OT). Dogs were acting as though they hadn't been fed in weeks and had just smelled fresh meat. The trouble makers didn't dare come out of the bar they were in. Was so funny I couldn't do anything but stand there laughing.
