History shows us that as long as we don't lose this game, we'll win the title. :smirk:

Steve Bennett is reffing this one.

Not been too impressed with Toure at the back and with Capbell playing it might be an idea to play with two strikers and give Ole the nod up front.

And Ashley Cole won't be able to cope with Ronaldo :D

I'm kind of expecting Ronaldo to play on the left (against Lauren), hopefully he'll force Lauren into another spectacular own goal...

Time to unleash Ronaldo on the arse. Fergie should try him behind Ruud if scholes is not fit and put giggs on the left, he will cause lumbering Sol and toure all sorts of problems. :p :p

Interesting that Ronaldo didn't play yesterday. That indicates that he'll play on Sunday. I wouldn't mind him staying on the bench though. He gives us an opportunity to change the pattern of play in a quick move.

I haven't yet given up on Scholes playing.

even if he play, i reckon it will be for 45 mins only, but nevertheless hope Ronaldo could score.

i'm hoping that jim pakistan would tackle the whole arseanal team and get away w/ it like he did in the community shield against campbell:D

I don't care who scores as long as it's the German keeper conceeding...

Dragged out my 2000/2001 Season Review video earlier to watch United v. Arse at Old Trafford with Yorkie's hat-trick - and he ripped Stepanovs and Grimandi to pieces.

:wenger: was then asked if the championship was 'now over' and he replied "it was before the game". :D

Absolute classic match.

MY team against Arsenal

--------------------Howard----------------------

Gaz------------Rio----------Silv----------Oshea

----------------Djemba------Phil-----------------

Ole------------------Ronaldo-------------Giggs

------------------------RVN-----------------------

Let us play Ronaldo behind RVN, with his pace and skill he would send Campbell and co in tilt

My team:

------------------------Howard----------------------

--G Neville-----Ferdinand--Silvestre----O'Shea---

-Ronaldo--------Keane-----P Neville-------Giggs--

------------------Ole--------Nistelrooy-------------

4-4-2 for this match I say.

Ronaldo against Cole

Phil man-marking Vieira

Ole back where he belongs (could alternate with Ronaldo to confuse Toure)

Hopefully Keano will be fit or we will really suffer.

Fortune deserves a start.

-------------------Howard---------------------

G.Neville-------Rio--------Silvestre------O'Shea

--------------Keane-------Fortune-------------

--------Ole---------Giggs---------Ronaldo------

i think he will play on Sunday

from BBC

Manchester United have played down reports midfielder Roy Keane could undergo an ankle operation that will sideline him for six weeks.

The United skipper is expected to start their top-of-the-table showdown with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Sun newspaper claimed he would then go under the knife to cure the injury that he picked up against Charlton earlier this month.

But a statement on the club's website said: "United have insisted that the stories in Thursday's newspapers regarding Roy Keane are not correct. Roy is not set to go under the knife."

Keane was left on the bench during United's Champions League win over Panathinaikos on Tuesday, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson eager to keep him rested for the Gunners.

With Paul Scholes sidelined with a hernia problem, Ferguson will be desperate for Keane to line up in the centre of midfield as United look to move to the top of the Premiership.

Keane has struggled with a series of injuries in recent years, with a hip injury keeping him out for four months last season and sparking talk he could soon be set to hang up his boots.

And I'd opt for

-----------Howard-------------
--Neville--Rio--Mickey--OShea--
---------Keano--Fortune-------
--Ole-------Giggs-----Ronaldo--
------------Rudd---------------

Presumebly, Ole will get over his knock. He made Cole look silly in the charity shield with the number of times he caught him out of position, his goal should give him confidence to return to the Ole of old. The rest pick themselves, the back four was very good, just sloopy with the passing at times against the Greeks.

Having said that I expect Fergie to play Butt in the middle with Fortune left wing.

Playing Ronaldo as the link-man with no experience there against Arsenal would be one hell of a brave call. Giggs should play there, Fortune on the left, Ronaldo coming off the bench onto the left, Keano and Jim Pakistan/Phil in the middle.

How about

Sweary
G Nev
Lampost
Silvestre
O'Shea

P Nev
Keane
Djemba
Butt
Fortune

Divey

You defensive bastards...

;)

Would be my prefered line-up. Unlucky on Phil maybe, because he's started every game this season, but with Keane's fitness in doubt and without Scholes, our midfield is a bit stretched. Ronaldo can come on if needed later on to do some stretching of his own. It's a tricky one, though, this.

Totally agreed, we have to go for it from the word go and IMO Arsenal will capitulate again if we get the early goal.

Ronaldo will give Lauren a very hard time and IMO there WILL be Arsenal players sent off. Let's hope it's Campbell so he can go on holiday till the new year. :smirk:

I think this is the likely line-up.

GK: Howard
DEF: Gary. N, Rio, Silvestre, O'Shea
MID: Ronaldo, Keane, Butt, Giggs
ATT: Ruud, Ole

The last time we played at home in the Premiership at 4pm was way back on opening weekend 2001-02 against Fulham!

Man Utd will score more than 2 but i think arsenal will only get 1.

probable score... Man Utd 3 - 1 Arsenal

but mayb with howard.... 3 - 0 hahahaa

I doubted. His father passed away before the Inter game and he played in that one, I don't think he'd suddenly decide to miss the United.

I doubt it too. I think he will want to play.

Very good team that, would be even better though with Phizza in midfield and Butt on the bench.
