Yea remember the last time they played in a Prem match? It was so hyped up about who was better Henry or Ruud, and then Henry never really showed up. He supposedly was on the pitch but didn't show up.

I'm ready for this game!!! I can't wait to rub this win in the face of my Arsenal-supporting friends!!!

The league looks all a bit messy for now. So a win on sat is a must. The Pearly Queens seem to be mincing all the right minces at the moment. Bastards. So a win on Sat is a must if only to raise our game a little in the league. I still can't believe we let that slip on Saturday. What a missed opertunity to apply some pressure at the top.

Hope Phil Neville gets another pocket sown into his kit. This way, he will have room for both Vieira AND Gilberto!! ;)

Seriously though, we will concede first in this game. The Arse will really come at us like a firestorm for the first 20 mins.

It's all about what we do from there.

I pray it's better than the 2nd half against those city fecks.

From where I was sat I cringed as soon as Wright-Philips came on and was allowed a free run on the right flank. Time and time again he was the spare man as they pushed us further and further back.

If ever there was a job for Phil 'the hatchett' Neville this was it.

Anyway, I digress. Back to the Arsenal game.

Let's do the arrogant cockney bastards!!

There's no need to get all excited and think we will turn them over, just because we beat them at OT a few months back.
Who knows Arsenal may play like they did when they beat us here in their title winning season - sit back and counter attack. I'm not saying that we can't win, its just - "dont count your chickens before they hatch" ??

Prediction 2-1 RVN, Scholes

And how accurate have you been this season?

6 pints for me in the first half. Then we'll score 6 goals. :D

I hope that Vieira, Wiltord, Henry and Pires will show the form they have offered us tonight with France at the Stade the France... ;)

Did they play the full 90 minutes?

we gotta show the scousers
1)how to win at least one FA cup match :D
2)how to win the FA cup trophy
3)to the strikers: how to score
4)to the defenders: how to defend.
5)to the GKs: how to save goals

Come On United! :D

Did someone get injured Elfie?

I half heard something on the radio about an Arsenal player being out on Saturday.

Unfortunately Zidane won't be around to hand us an assist with an astute back heel :p

Henry played 76 minutes, Wiltord played only the first half, Pires and Vieira played only the second half. Wenger had asked Santini to care about his players and not let them play for too long, he even attended the game, probably to ensure that his players don't play too much...

Silvestre played the last quarter. As Lizarazu didn't play well people say that he could soon take his first team place...

No, no French player got injured.

I've heard too that an Arsenal player was injured, I can't remember who but it's not a French player.

Zidane had his worst game with the French team yesterday... The others were bad too. Rame made an horrible mistake (Fab was missed) .But the Czech team was remarkable...

Will SAF use two strikers or yet another withdrawn striker? I want this lineup in place (if Giggs is out):
-------------------Barthez---------------------
Gazza------Ferdinand-----Brown-------O'Shea----
Becks------Scholes-------Keane-----Silvestre---
------------Ole----------RVN-------------------

Subs:
Lopez (let him start if Barthez can't)
Neville (comes on for defensive strength at 80')
Veron (Scholes is in form; sub for injury only)
Butt (plays only if injury to Keane)
Forlan (comes on if we need a goal at 70')
Giggs (do not risk further injury)

Jermaine Pennant didn't play in the U21 match with Italy because of an Achilles problem, but he's on loan to Watford. Oleg Luzhny is out with a calf injury. Either way, not exactly Earth-shaking news.

I like that team as well. It won't be the one tho.

I just hope and pray that barthez is fit for tommorow, cos if Barthez doesn't play then I would be worried cos carroll is just to shaky to be uniteds main keeper, and we may not have giggs also, I would like to see fergie play Forlan on the winger and play Oshea instead of Neville.

Well now veron if definitely out, giggs and barthez are doubtful, so we will probably see butt and maybe forlan in the shake up!!.

I reckon we'll play:

----------Barthez-----------
Neville--Rio--Wes--Silvestre
-------Keano--Butt----------
--Beckham-Scholes-Solskjaer-
------------Ruud------------

Man Utd (from): Barthez, G Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Silvestre, Beckham, Veron, Keane, Butt, P Neville, Scholes, van Nistelrooy, Giggs, Solskjaer, Forlan, O'Shea, Carroll.

Arsenal (from): Seaman, Warmuz, Taylor, Lauren, Cole, Campbell, Keown, Cygan, Stepanovs, Vieira, Parlour, Edu, van Bronckhorst, Wiltord, Pires, Toure, Henry, Bergkamp, Kanu, Jeffers.

Look what Seaman can do!!!!!!

Right. I've picked me team. :)

Barthez
Neville
Brown
Silvestre
O'Shea
Beckham
Neville
Keane
Solskjaer
Scholes
Ruud.

Subs:

Ricardo
Rio
Butt
Forlan
????? Difficult if Giggs and Veron are out.

And if Phil doesn't seem to be having the same type of game as he did before, I would change it soonish, and drop Scholes back, move Ole up front, and bring on Butt.

Ingenius formation. Would nullify vieira and gilberto well, as well as making keano and butt drop back to deal with Henry. Though i dont think nicky is ready yet for this kind of game, not match fit, so id go with:

----------Barthez--------------
G.Neville--Rio--Silvestre--OShea
-------Keano--P.Nev-------------
--Beckham-Scholes-Solskjaer-----
------------Ruud-----------------

subs:
Ricardo
Forlan
Butt
Wes
Richardson/Nardiello

i feel silvestre should be drafted in to the centre to deal with henrys pace. That leaves a left back position bare and wes cant play left back so JOS comes in there. Id like to see richardson get a run out if were "strolling" it with 10 mins left (very unlikely but still), a big game like this could give him some very valuable experience indeed.
