when was the last time he started?

Thats just the way things go. You won't create a million chances against this Arsenal, but we got four really good ones. Missed two, they scored with all the luck in the world, then got another, then we missed two more chances and at 1-2 it would have been a new ball game.

Sometimes football is much simpler than tactics and formations.

Anyway, they deserve it today.

Given our attitude last week and now today Fergie's got a bit to do for wed. But I do agree if Giggs had not missed ( f'kin howler ) it would have been different. Arsenal hadn't done much before the 'lift' of that miss and a bit of a fluke goal! Then Giggs does it again in the second half.

Their defence has been superb. And they won the midfield.

Hopefully this will fire us up for the PL game.

I don't know if it's tactics, luck or whatever.

In life the harder you work, the luckier you tend to get. Arsenal worked harder today.

It's obvious to me that our main focus is CL and if certain players don't raise their standards for the Juventus game then SAF will have their arses.

Our chances were few and far between. They took theirs, we didn't. And their defence was rock solid apart from the couple of chances we did have.

Agree. They showed that they are still the better team than us.

feckin shite performance. I love the team and the lads, but it pisses me off when they don't even seem to give a toss. It pisses me off more when it's against the strutting Gooner bastards. Where was the passion of November?

I too think the CL and The Prem is more important but we put our best 11 out their today to win. Now ARSE will have the physco advantage later this year. We only scored 1 goal in the last two games at home. Cant blame the defense though

Well I was never confident about today. Strangely, I feel more confident about our visit to Highbury.

Shame, don't know what happened to us today.

Maybe Juventus, maybe the first five minutes.

But we were outplayed in the second half, our key players looked a bit off their game. Fergie won't be happy at the way we just faded after the second goal.

Ah well, can't win them all.

I would say it is our lack of pace and creativity make them looks rock solid.

Their attacking game has an edge of pace and sharpness about it that we lack... they play a very pacey passing game based on automatism.

We didn't play well today. We didn't take our chances. We didn't have the breaks. We didn't deserve to win. We looked tired.
Ah well. They have to do better than this against Juve.

It pisses me off when people say the players don't care. Of course they care - sometimes it just doesn't happen. And sometimes it's because the other team is playing better than us.

I'm bored. There's nothing wrong with the player's passion or attitude. They didn't play worse than they did against Arsenal last time, but this time we were the ones who missed the early chances and they got the break. If we got our noses infront again it probably would have been a similar story.

I do believe Arsenal is a better team because they've got more attacking options. It was not evident today.

Shut up. We can say they didn't play good enough, but no one can say they didn't care or didn't tried. I thought the players have already fought very hard, but we just lost to the team which played better today.

Well it certainly doesn't help, that's for sure.

Agreed. We missed that critical first chance. They got a lucky deflection. And then Wiltord took his chance. Otherwise, neither side created very much.

Disappointing match especially considering the fact that Henry didn't even start.

There was plenty of passion out there today from both sides... didn't you see the first 10 minutes, Arsenal were simply the better team.

bang on. We cared about this game alot and i still think we cared about the city game, but we got tired and to be honest they werew awesome at the back. Wednesdays a whole new game and please please dont let the hypercondriacts come out and start whinging.

we countered thier pace last time by placing neville on top of viera and Oshea was dominant at the back. Like i said cant blame the defense for a deflected goal and arse are always going to score at least 1 so the blame lies on our attack. Maybe without veron we lacked imagination but in years past certainly we have buried our chances however small they were Giggs excepted

I know someone is going to say this, but I just don't think there will be much difference even if Seba played. The "creativity" he can likely offer is putting more high ball forward. But it won't help.

:( feck.

well, go lads, learn from this and fight for the title! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
