C'mon, he's still one of our players at the end of the day and deserves our support when he's going through a bad patch. I think that his confidence is low and he's still coming back from those injuries. A few more matches and he'll be right, just at the stage of the season when we need him the most
Of course he deserves support, but there comes a time where you have to say how much are we going to let him cost us crucial goals with stupid mistakes. He has not settled in well at all. Not when you compare him to someone like O'Shea who has come in and made an immediate impact with the team.
I'd be inclined to take Blanc off, put Gary in the middle, Phil at LB, and bring Scholes into midfield.
Scousers want Haken Yakin. He might do well there.
Give Diego 5-10 minutes to improve or get him off. I know hes not very strong so playing upfront alone isnt ideal, but his passing has been awful today.

We can't really expect too much - nice if it works, but players need to play together for several games in order to really gel.

I think youre being a bit unfair to Rio.
His general play is very good but people just dont appreciate that. Its only the mistakes that are remembered and the good things Rio does in a game (positioning, interceptions, clearances, etc..) go unnoticed.

Forlan is having quite a tough game, hes not playing well at all, giving the ball away to easily and is making it too hard for us to get support from the midfield as the ball isnt sticking up front.
Richardson findin it tough too, giving the ball away too easily.
Fletcher played quite good to be honest, his final ball could be improved tho.

with all due respect to Rio, defenders, especially centrebacks, cannot afford to make too many mistakes like Rio did this season. Hope he'll start to settle down soon and come good next season.
