I know it's a bit early for a match thread, but just want to say that it will be good ol' Mike Riley's first game at Old Trafford this weekend. :D

Its also the first game without the Manager, and we dont have a PROPER assistant manager

What is a proper assistant? Someone who has been named one? Right, so Phelan is one for the day.

It didn't seem to bother us after Fergie was sent off at Newcastle and it won't make any difference now. To be honest, it's a pretty stupid punishment really.

I have a feeling that Cristiano will score his first goal for us this weekend.

Against the Roasters, SAF passed messages to Coton who was the 'runner' between him and Phelan. Seemed to work okay. After all it's who awaits them in the dressing room that keeps the team focussed, not who is on the bench.

keep Malbraque quiet and we wont have any trouble beating them..

Its true that most their best play comes through him, but pace is also a great asset, they play like arsenal, watch them counters.

Luis Boa Morte has really impressed me this season. he didn't play last weekend but if he is today he could relish a chance to impose himself at OT. Him and Malbranque are great creative outlets, but we should have no problems if we stifle them, regardless of Fulham's decent start to the season.

I doubt the manager not being there will have much impact. He can relay any critical instuctions to Mike on the touchline and besides most of the important instructions and discussed in the dressing-room. I would bet that most of the players hardly take in a word the coaches say from the touchlines anyhow, too focused on the game.

Just realised now lucky we are in SE Asia with so much coverage.

I'd say over 95% of United games are live here in Hong Kong. :D

Great news, i´ve always had a soft spot for Reiley
The ABUs have accused him of been pro United. I have not seen it. He seems to let the game flow whenever possible. But those accusations may just make him a little tougher on us...hope not.
A bit like the accusations against CR7 and Ruud...when it is the others.....

United v Fulham is on ESPN. :D

I think the Channel 61 is ok, plenty of La Liga action, but I think they should have put it at ch.4 and kicked CCTV off to 61 or whatever, makes browsing thru the channels a lot easier. :)

yeah..Luis Boa Morte is another danger man..he's very fast and he like to dive or perhaps fall down easily..

"Chris Coleman will have Louis Boa Morte available for selection again for the game with Manchester Utd this weekend.

Fulham's joint top-scorer has missed the last two games against Wolves and Newcastle United with a hamstring strain but has now returned to training and will be fit for the trip to Old Trafford."

As my own supersticous rule I stopped predicting games, but predicting the line up is fair and ok so here it is:

Gazza---RioNkeanofan--MSilvestre--JohnOSheasCousin

--------CaptainKeano16----- PHILTHEREDDEVIL

Hope so  . Either way I think it's gonna be a great game. Something tells me Fulham will go for a win as they're not really expected to beat MU.

Can't wait!!

Go Ronaldo!!!!.....oh and MU :D .

If youve got digital radio the games got uninterupted commentry on 5 live sports extra, otherwise you pay £25 to hear it on the official site.

BIG-MATCH FACTS

MANCHESTER UNITED against Fulham is a top six clash between the best and the worst supported clubs in the Premiership.

The Red Devils are buoyed by Wednesday's 0-1 win over Rangers in the Champions League at Ibrox. They have won the following Premiership game after an away Champions League match on each of the last six occasions, and have not lost the League match following a European trip on the last nine instances. It's a sequence tracking back to the defeat by Arsenal following the semi-final second leg with Bayer Leverkusen in April 2002.

This game will see manager Sir Alex Ferguson banished to the stands for the first of his two match ban. His side are on a three match winning run in League and Cup. They're also seeking a fourth successive Premiership maximum to stretch their unbeaten League streak to six. In addition the champions are unbeaten at home in League and Cup - yet to concede a goal in front of the Old Trafford faithful.

United have won eight home League games on the trot against Fulham - ten in all competitions - and hold a 100% home Premiership record over the Cottagers (two wins out of two). The second of those was 3-0 last March when United shot to the top of the Premiership for the first time in a year and went on to lift their eighth title. Ruud van Nistelrooy bagged a hat trick in that game. The Dutchman, who's chalked up six goals in four games against the Cottagers, is joint top Premier League marksmen. He's scored eight goals so far, as has Alan Shearer of Newcastle.

FULHAM face the ultimate test to their much acclaimed, if widely unpredicted, resurgence. The Londoners have won four and drawn three of their nine Premiership outings this season. They've also won half of their 14 League games since Chris Coleman took over from Jean Tigana and only lost three in his tenure.

That despite 2-3 home defeat by Newcastle on Tuesday when they surrendered an early two-goal lead.

The Cottagers record against Manchester United is little better than feeble. They've lost 19 of 23 visits to Old Trafford. Their only maximum in the last 23 trips to the Theatre of Dreams was 0-2 on April Fools Day 1993 in the old First Division. Fulham have not won in home and away League and Cup meetings with the Red Devils since a 2-1 top flight win at Craven Cottage 39 years ago, on 5 September 1964.

Finally , a conservative defensive formation, oh how I dream of dreary 1-0 wins

:nervous: Not sure about this. Could easily back-fire. Half the lads are lacking match practice. I can see us struggling for 60 minutes and bringing on Scholes. 2-1 to United. I hope. :nervous:
