I DON'T BELIEVE THIS!!!! where is the defense?

you know what, this is exactly the kind of display that cost us the title two seasons ago.

You could dissagree with me, but this Forlan Guy is not UTD class even if he had a hat-trick, he was overall our worst player, no ifs or buts about it.

couldn't agree more.
Haven't seen the game, so can't comment on the display. However, SAF admitted to making too many changes which had almost cost us points against Wolves. I reckon it didn't take him long to forget that mediocre performance.
With our attack depending on one player, it is impossible to deprive our midfield of Keane and Scholes. An off day for Ruud, and we are out of sorts.
Ahh, shit happens...

Didn't see the game but from the Radio 1-3 seemed to be a fair reflection. Could have been worse. Well played Fulham.

Our defence has been a major factor in our success this year. The worrying thing is that midfield / attack never really looked like bailing us out when the defence had an off day.

"We'll support you evermore"

Terrible, fecking terrible performance. Credit to Fulham, they deserved to win.

We've only our self to blame. The Keane-Neville-Scholes midfield trio has been the key to our offensive and defensive play, so why rest all of them? Make no mistakes, we underestimated Fulham. A team that's placed sixth in the league.

And how the feck did you waste that chance Diego? Early second half, great chance to score himself and Ruud in an even better position in the centre. And he fecking misses the goal. Poor. Very poor.

The fact that Howard was one of our better players is very telling. Our defence were nowhere to be found. Not concentrated, not focused.

By far the worst performance by United since Maine Road last season.

Must say though that our supporters (the ones who stayed anyway  ) deserves credit for the way they supported the team at the end.

Do you reckon it was our defence? It looked a bit dodgy more than once.
Perhaps it was the more defensive formation of playing with two defensive midfielders, which were both missing today (Keano +P. Nev.)?

That was absolutely terrible performance.

and no offense to Forlan
he may have scored the goal, but he was fecking frustrating to watch again, poor passing and so many giveaways

Ruud wasn't good either. he was invisible for the whole match

Unlike arse fans or pool fans I will fully admit we deserved to lose. We played better at the start of the second half but fulham after their 2nd was the better side. did i really say that. Unfortunately it was true. Forlan and Ronaldo need to pass the ball more we had players open.

It happens every year though and no panic signs yet. Remember we had a very emotional game at Ibrox on wednesday so this type of performance was not unexpected by me at least

Tinkerbell has well and truly struck again.

What the hell was that??. I saw our line-up and thot where the hell is Scholes, keane and phil nevile???. And I see Djemba and Butt, I knew this was coming. Why the hell are we resting players at this time??, this is not the worthless cup for christs sake!!. Too many bad players today, Forlan, even tho he scored was absolutely useless as usually. Butt and Djema2, well I said this a few wks ago, they are both slow and not GOOD enuff, and we were TOTALLY over run in midfied by fulham of all teams. To top it all silvestre had one of his days.

I agree about the backlash of the rotation, but if so many important squad players are not good enough according to you, then we are lucky to be where we are.
I reckon we are one striker short of a healthy squad. The rest will come with time (O'Shea, Fletcher and Ronaldo) and some respect to the opposition (raotation).
I still believe Forlan has a role to play in the club, though i have to admit it was frustrating to hear that when things were getting desperate Bellion came of the bench...
:nervous:

Oh dear, oh dear. A bulldog chewing a wasp? The elephant man sucking a lemon?, or a face like a smacked arse? could anyone give me a definitive description of SAF at the end of the match.

The little I actually saw of Bellion today, the guy should be given a run ahead of Forlan, cos surely he can't be any worse??. And also Fergie should put that same team out for the worthless cup next week as he might as well still rest scholes, keane and phil neville.

Nob off!

Who scored the only goal we had?

We saw Bellion for what, 15 minutes? and he had one shot on target?

Forlan had one shot on taget (from what I remember) and scored from it.

Forlan has infinately more experienced than Bellion and should qualify for first team, rightly so, ahead of Bellion.

What are you saying, because Van didn't score, he should be benched next game?

Behave!

Yeh I know Forlan scored today, but even u have to admit, if u wtached the match that he was the most fustrating player on the pitch today!!.

Our play today.

You can't take anything from Fulham today.

They played brillliantly and raised their game when they came here, as you would expect to. We failed to control the game and capitalise on possession.

They played a mainly 5 man midfield, breaking when they could. Our poor, sometimes 3 man midfield went missing from huge parts of the game. With Djemba and Butt partnering as a fresh partnership, the couple didn't gell too well and we found ourselves struggling for vital central midfiled possesion. This pushed our back four who tried as they might to stop the Fulham onslaught. Admittedly, Micky's early error gave them the advantage, but a team of the stature on Manchester Untited should have overcome that early embarrasement and marched on, but looking at the team out there today, it would have been difficult to spot a likely candidate to lead the reply.

Roy Keane's ommision was glaringly obvious today, when we started going down the plug, we had no real leader to turn to.

What's more concerning is what happens when the mighty man leaves from Old Trafford for good? :(

Yes, I saw him hit 3 shots, 2 off target, one goal. Umpteen assists that he pulled off with grace and accuracy.

As I said.

I also saw Nistelrooy and he didn't score.

How frustrating is that?

You saying he shouldn't play next game?

Leave it with the knee jerk reactions.

Forlan is class. He's no world class player (yet ;) ) but he put 2 past the scousers, so he's alright in my books :D

Hopefully fergie will play forlan and bellion in the worthless cup on tuesday and give Ruud a much needed rest.

The game is won or lost in midfield. You cant take out the heart of it and tinker with it the way SAF did and expect to win a match against a pretty decent side. All credit to Fulham though. I thought we were still in it until they scored the second. Great strike. Started with that mistake from Mikeal and went downhill. I wont put this with the City match. We were awful that day...only similarity was the scoreline.
Hey shit happens....
Interesting thing about all the talk of being overloaded in midfield...That is where we are lacking quality arent we? An opposing player once said that Keane was half the side. Could not agree with him more!
I'll now try and have selective memory loss like my friend CRAYFORDBOY!
On to the next match!
