Well, it's not on TV in Hong Kong :(

I think Cris deserves to start after the contribution he made today.

-------------Howard-------------
--Gazz---Wes---Silves---O'Shea--
--Cris---Keano---Scholes--Giggs--
--------Ruud-----Saha----------

Hope Ole is ready for a run out towards the end

True, do they even bother with attackers at all? It would be a real disaster if we don't keep a clean sheet against that lot. :nervous:

True. Middlesboro can be a tough nut to crack on their day. Lets not take it lightly. I really do want to see Ole Gunnar getting some first team action though if at all possible.

previously said they are very defensive. we played 4-2-3-1 against them and that didnt work well. No doubt 4-4-2 will be played again.

Its important that our defence are alert for this game. United will be pressing alot and really attacking from all angles to break their defence. Boro will scare united at times and pull some long distance shots off. One mistake in defence and little Juninho will break on attack. Reason why our defence need to be alert is because imo majority of the game will be in boros half and most of the possession united will have so when boro get the ball united really need to be ready and no underestimate their attack.

Im not sure who will be on the bench. I wouldnt mind seeing Fortune at LB. Otherwise our lineup couldnt get any better. All our players are back from injury. Ole is back but hasnt played a first team game yet. I see him starting on the bench.

Well thats my prediction. :D

id like 2 see kleb start, eithe in CM or on the RW, needs 2 be playin otherwise we r wastin talent. one thing though dont want 2 see fletcher there.

 same...i was checking foxtel site as well. You think maybe they might play united ? or do we have to watch foxtel and wait for the advertisment ?

espnstar not showing it.. ..is there any online broadcast or something?

I'd really like to see Keano getting a bit of a rest. He seems jaded and the storming start to the season seems to be winding down. Giving him a bit of a rest will do us no end of good.

So Butty and Scholes to start in the middle of the field. Wes needs to keep playing in the centre of defence. Hope for a storming performance from him. As some others have said, Ronnie deserves a reward for his cross on the weekend. So the team

-----------Timmy--------
--Gaz--Wes--Tweety--Fortune
------Butty----Scholes------
--Ronnie--------------Giggzy
------Ruud----Saha---------

Bench:Carroll, Phil, Kleb, Forlan, O'Shea

Now I don't want to take them lightly but maybe there's even a case for resting Scholes and letting Kleb take his turn.

Once again we can expect Boro to play like demons against Utd. They obviously saved themselves against Blackburn.

Every team raises their game against us, no game is completely assured, especially with the defence as it is!

I always, and I can't help but do it, worry whenever we rest a few first teamers, the likes of Fletch just don't cut it IMO, he plays reasonably well, but his crossing is rubbish at times, I'd much prefer to see Ronnie on the right and use Fletch or Eagles as his back up!

Ronaldo has the individual talent to turn a game, Fletch seems to go missing at important times, and doesn't provide any pace or penetration in the way that Ronaldo would.

Start with Ronnie on the right, Giggsy on the left, Butty and Scholes in the middle with keano on the bench just in case, Ruud and King Louis upfront should proivide too much for Boro!

Fingers crossed!

Boro under McClaren have particularly done it though.

is two games in such a short period good for giggs coming off injury? perhaps kleberson on the right and ronaldo on the left?

We'll win this game. I don't trust our defence to keep a clean sheet though.

Boro will defend well enough to keep our scoring down a bit so we won't be getting 3 or 4 goals again.

I'm going for a 2-1 win.

One each for RVN and Saha would be perfick.

Boro's goal will probably come from an own-goal Man Utd defender mistake! :)

Zenden and Juninho could cause our defence ( due to its current state ) trouble !

---------------Howard----------------
G.Neville---Brown----Silvestre---O'Shea
Ronaldo---Scholes-----Keane-----Giggs
-------V.Nistelrooy----Saha-----------

Carroll
P.Neville
Butt
Kleberson
Forlan

Prediction: Saha treble. It's the logical progression after getting one his first game and two in his second. :D

the players we should play are Kleberson, butt and forlan.
saha is not available for the cup game so lets play him with diego upfront. Ole can be on the bench, Ruud should be rested.
Keano needs to rest for the cup game.
The team should be-
-------------------Howard--------------
--gary-----wes----------mickey-----phil
-kleberson-----butt----scholesy----quinny-
--------------forlan------saha
bench-
caroll
o'shea
ronaldo
keano
ole

This would also be my side, maybe JOS in place of Quinton. Give Keano a rest so he'll be fresh for Saturday, but put him on the bench in case we need him.

I'm looking forward to seeing RVN/Saha playing against Middlesbrough. The last couple of years we've always struggled against them with one striker up front. I think the mere presence of Saha is going to give RVN a lot more space, and we're going to look a lot more dangerous going forward now.

I have a feeling Keano will play in the this one but be rested for the cup tie against the Massives.

No way. An emotional tie like that will be just right for him. I can just see him now - owning the midfield with crunching tackles and storming forward runs.

Boro - I think we should be able to manage without him. Butty/Phil and Scholes can run that game by themselves.

I agree with most of that team, I don't think Ruud, Keane or Giggs will start, but Phil should be back in. I predict:

-----------------Howard------------------
G Neville-----Brown-----Silvestre-----O'Shea
Kleberson----P Neville----Scholes----Ronaldo
----------Forlan------------Saha-----------
Bench:
Carroll, Keane, van Nistelrooy, Giggs, Fortune/Butt

Still too soon for Solskjaer.

------Timmy---------
Gaz--Wes--Tweety--O'Shea

Kleberson-Butt---Scholesy---Ronaldo

Ruud-------Saha

Bring on Diego for ruud if we're winning comftably round 60 mins and Ole fro Saha round 80

I reckon we want a few crunchers in this one. Reckon a few Boro might bottle it in the tackle with the Carling Cup round the corner and them never having won a trophy in their history.

I can't see why Fergie won't start with King Louis and RVN for this one.

We simply can't afford to slip up at the moment... he has tried playing the second string players from the start in other so-called "Home Bankers" and we've struggled.

The defence is a major worry atm and we need all the goals we can muster to ensure a safe victory.

I can't see either Forlan or Ollie featuring in this game unless we are at least 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go... and even then, I would be worried! :)

The defence sorts it self - they need to do that on the pitch too, never mind.

Giggs will be rested I think, playing three matches in a week, returning from an injury doesn't seem vice.

Keane too might be rested, or Scholes.

I don't think Ruud will be rested though, he has had plenty rest already this year and he doesn't seem like a player needing to be rested - his record tells us that.

Saha might be rested though.

We can't afford to rest any of Ruud or Saha, they both have to play, and we have to continue with 4-4-2 for the PL at least, and looking at the way the arse are playing at the moment we can't afford a slight slip up, not even a draw till we play them at highbury!!.
