I know his partner just had a baby. I wonder if it has something to do with that? Maybe he's knackered. I know...sounds like a bit of a stretch but I haven't heard anything about him being injured.

I think I read somewhere today that Diego hasn't actually recovered from his injury. But now we're down to one striker. We'll have to hope Ruud doesn't get injured tonight. We'd have to play Scholesy/Giggsy up front together.

Oh i see...so he doesnt get knackered at running round a pitch for nearly 90 minutes, but he gets knackered watching his partner give birth. Lazy Bugger

I'm not a fan of players just having one reserve game before coming back, I'd give them quite a few until they're fully match fit and earn their way into the first team. Fortune didn't do that great, but he has been out for some time. Then again Wes only had one game in the reserves before he started and he did great straight away.

JOS has had a few games at right back I think, looked just as good there as at leftback. But these aren't the important positions imo, Keane Scholes Veron Beckham are our key players tonight and we need some good performances from them.

Well, some guys have been known to faint in the delivery room even though we women have to do all the hard work! :)

Like I said, it's a bit of a stretch...but I was thinking maybe the exhaustion due to sleepless nights with the new baby, etc..

I just can't think of any other possible reason why he's not on the bench if he's not injured.

They just said on MUTV that Ole's girlfriend has gone into labour. Those earlier reports of his partner having given birth were obviously premature!
