I doubt they'd give those odds, they'd risk going bust. Are you sure it wasn't all 3 of them to score and united win?

I don't make scoreline predictions now days after being burned early in the season, but I have a strong feeling United will ooze class all match long and I think Milwall will suffer a large defeat. I'm expecting few goals from United. I think Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs, and Ruud are going to have a field day on attack. Just hope Gaz, Keane, or Wes don't make any borderline tackles in/near the box. Not sure if Milwall are good on set pieces and the last thing United need is to conceed a penalty.

And I'm hosting a FA Cup final party at my residence. Got some Brits that live nearby and they are coming over (huge United fans) as well as some part time American fans who know the name Manchester United and are interested in watching the match. Oh, and the large amounts of alcohol and food on hand too. Maybe I'm being used. Shit, who cares. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!

This is the first time I will experience a Cup Final day where United are involved and not be in England. I used to love the build-up; 3 hrs before the game and the television people would have cameras inside the dressign rooms and alongside Wembley way, and it would kick off from there. A bit different nowadays - pre-match show begins at 6am and kick off at 7.

This Game Will Be The Easiest This Year For United, And Ever More So Than Northampton. Expect A 6-0 Drubbing! I Can Feel A Good End To The Season, And I Am Almost Certain That United Will Score More Than 5, Believe Me!

Is it absolutely essential to have Roy Keane as a starter if he is "fit"?
Hamstrings are notoriously dodgy injuries to recover from.

I think that the team played excellently on Saturday.

I would keep the team as it was on Saturday, it is not essential to have Keane start.

Are w genuinely worried that Keane's presence would make or break the final for United?

No, even if keane dosen't play, I stick with Fletcher and Phil in the middle, play the same line-up against villa.

Howard
G.Neville Brown O'Shea Silvestre
Ronaldo Keane Scholes Giggs
Solskjaer van Nistelrooy

give silvest a chance back on the left since we might decide to play him there next season. with keane hopefully back from his hamstring lay-off i would be glad to see him and scholes in central midfield. ronaldo and giggs running down the wings to torment millwall's defence. solskjaer gets a match to build up on sharpness, and if possible, a shooting practice :D , alongside Ruud. howard starts ahead of carroll.

Bench:
Carroll
Fletcher
Kleberson
Bellion
Forlan (presence on the bench shows why we seriously need to get another striker in the summer)

People prepared to celebrate:
THE ENTIRE MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM, INCLUDING THE UNDER-10 TEAMS! ALSO THE 60,000,000 FANS OR SO OF MAN UNITED WORLDWIDE!

1) It is a final. WHY would we want Micky to have a go at left-back when we know he can do a job there already? If you said that O'Shea should have a go at centre-half, then at least I would understand it! Otherwise, a mental opinion, especially as Wes and Micky have played well together there for a few weeks now!

2) Why does OGS need a game to sharpen him up? There are no more games after the final for United! Also, SAF would probably start with Keane IF he is fit, but Fletcher does not deserve to be left on the bench just because of Keane. Fletcher and Ronaldo were outstanding against Villa, and SAF has mentioned many times in the past that a team winning and playing well should not be changed unless it was appropriate to give them a rest...doesn't apply for the final. Keane can sit on the bench.

Any of you guys going to the game. I'm over in England right now and got my ticket yesterday. Perhaps we could meet up somewhere before the game.

SIR ALEX FERGUSON is ready to hand FA Cup Final places to Cristiano Ronaldo and Darren Fletcher - meaning heartbreak for England duo Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.

Fergie has been so impressed with rising stars Ronaldo and Fletcher recently he has no qualms about them starting against Millwall on Saturday.

And that means Butt and Neville, both named yesterday in Sven Goran Eriksson's squad for Euro 2004, face being relegated to the bench at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

But while Fergie is sure of Ronaldo and Fletcher, there is a serious doubt over skipper Roy Keane.

Keane's Cup Final destiny will be decided today, with Fergie desperate for his inspirational leader to recover in time from a hamstring injury.

Despite Ronaldo and Fletcher being sent off in United's 2-0 win over Aston Villa on the final day of the season, Fergie has no doubts over their ability to handle the big occasion.

He said: "We were never going to rush those two players because we see fantastic potential there - we are talking top Manchester United players. Both of them, in any era.

"I'm as sure about those two as any players who have come to United. They are absolute certainties.

"Temperament, personality, character, determination - everything is there with those two players.

"It's even more pronounced in Ronaldo, simply because he is Portuguese. He shows more emotion, whereas Fletcher is very calm and has this cold determination about him.

"For me, he was man-of-the-match when we beat Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final. We've been playing him out on the right of midfield, which you can do when a player is young.

"But he is, and will be, a central midfielder."

Keane will learn today whether he can play any part in the final, having undergone extensive treatment.

The United skipper has not played since last month's Premiership clash with Liverpool and Fergie said: "We'll have to get Roy football training by Tuesday in order to give us a good run before we would contemplate putting him in for the final.

"He trained well last week, running-wise, but has a swelling at the base of his hamstring."

At least play Keane in the final at some point so he gets the new record ahead of Ray Parlour

Roy Keane will make a post-war record sixth FA Cup Final appearance if he can shake off a hamstring injury in time to face Millwall.
United's club captain will become only the second player in history to reach the landmark, but is highly unlikely to overtake the man ahead of him.

That man is Lord Arthur Kinnaird, who appeared in nine of the first eleven FA Cup Finals, representing Wanderers and Old Etonians.

Kinnaird's record is almost certain to remain unbeaten, since only Keane and Arsenal's Ray Parlour are still playing out of the 15 players who have appeared in five finals.

As such, an appearance in Saturday's showpiece will distance Keane from his peers and will give the Irishman a deserved place in the post-war history books.

Keane's first final appearance came for Nottingham Forest in the 1990/91 season, where Brian Clough's men were beaten 2-1 by Spurs after a late own-goal by Des Walker.

The Irishman also tasted defeat in 1995, as Paul Rideout's goal was enough for Everton to beat United 1-0 at Wembley.

His first Cup winner's medal came in 1994 as United hammered Chelsea 4-0, with two penalties from Eric Cantona and strikes from Mark Hughes and Brian McClair.

Keane was also in the sides which beat Liverpool 1-0 in 1996 and Newcastle 2-0 in 1999.

The latter was a tainted victory, however, as Keane was injured by a challenge from Gary Speed and had to be substituted after just 9 minutes.

Injury didn't stand in the way as United went on to complete the Treble, and hopefully on this occasion Keane will recover from his hamstring injury in time to take his place in history.

That would be my lineup as well.

Let's see what teams we can summon up,

Howard
G Neville, Brown, Silvestre, P Neville
Ronaldo, Keane, Fletcher, Giggs
Scholes,
Rvn

Subs
Carroll
Ole
Butt
Kleberson
O'Shea

or let's not go

Carroll
P Neville, Brown, Silvestre, Giggs
Fletcher, Butt, Keane, Ronaldo
Bellion
Forlan

Subs
Howard
RVN
Scholes
G Neville
Kleberson

We should give the Millwall a chance, well all be it for 10 minutes and then go for the record win of 5-0.... We still hold joint record for the 4-0....

Anything less than a record win will be a disappointment. After everything that has happened this season, I really hope we can end the season on a highnote, sign a few top players and start next season by losing the Shield. :D

I hear u Cal, if we are not at least 2 or 3 nil up by half-time I will be very disapointed. I know people talk about cup upsets but the gap in teams these days are too large for these to happen with a div1 team against a top PL team.

Fergie expect Keane to be fit

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he expects Roy Keane to lead Manchester United into their FA Cup final with Millwall on Saturday.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been struggling with a hamstring injury and has not played since United´s defeat to Liverpool on April 24. However, Keane has trained for the last three days without a problem and is now set to become the first player since the Second World War to play in six finals.

"He has trained for the last three days, has suffered no reaction so far and I don´t expect he will have one," said the United boss. "You always want your best players on the pitch and he is still the biggest influence on our team. He is our captain, he has been there more times than anyone else and it is natural we would want him there."

Keane's presence has left Ferguson with a selection dilemma.

Ferguson already knows the side he will pick this weekend and that is likely to mean bad news for either Darren Fletcher or Phil Neville, one of whom looks certain to drop out of the side which defeated Aston Villa last Saturday.

Yeah, cup final day doesn't feel the same anymore, although that's probably because I have to pay through the nose to watch the match!
