crap 1st ahlf. no midfield whatsoever in terms of creativity.
Giggs stood out in that department, but no real rhythm.
Forlan always gives 110%, but it just doesn't look that.
I'm not sure Pompey deserve to be a goal down, though Timmy had feck all to do.

Dire first-half to be honest, no creativity what-so-ever, but why start with butt again??, I dont like that at all.
Decent first half, we're winning and that's what matters.
Giggs is our best player so far, assisted Diego for the goal and should've got another assist when he played Ruud trough.
Great goal by Diego, in the right position and took his shot very well.
Fletch has made a couple of good crosses but has lost the ball too many times. Would be better used in a central position.
Rio is struggling, made a couple of terrible mistakes that could've resulted in a goal conceded.

I think though that this match showed that we are not a great team without Keane and Scholes.
I also think that this match showed that Ronaldo today is best used as a substitute.

I hope we are not carried away by the final score. For me it was a bit like the Bolton game, when the final score obscured a mediocre performance. We did deserve to win, but the score did flatter us a bit.
I'm worried about our creativity when Scholes is out. Giggs has been inconsistent for the last couple of seasons, so we are lucky he is on an "up" now when Scholesy is out.

I think he has to be reminded that the target is first of all hitting that goal, and only then come the dancing. Though it was showtime after the 3rd goal, sometimes it looks as if the dancing is his priority.
He must have thought it was time to take the piss when he saw Bellion coming in.
I loved the goal celebration for his goal though! It seemed the boys were really happy for him.

Now i'm in England, i could only watch the big matches in pub
Keane's goal brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful to see the great man back to his best. Happy for Ronaldo too. Good kid.

Yeah my friends in the far east have Every Manchester United match live!! Well it is not too bad here in the States either. Wish we had more CL matches. I'm looking forward to the Rangers match this Tuesday.

Fletcher was OK at the right & was composed although not that penetrative. His cool taking of the ball away from Hislop should have been better rewarded if Butt had headed his subsequent cross in with an empty goal staring at him!
Sorry to state that Rio was again too cumbersome, slow & casual & got caught in possession when the last man but luckily Yakubu blasted the ball straight at Howard when clear through!
Was again caught in possession mid-way through the 2nd half when last man but Portsmouth again wasted the subsequent chance!
A couple of his cross field passes were also intercepted by hovering Portsmouth attackers but he escaped being punished - a real stinker of a match!
Thankfully, Gary, O'Shea & Fortune stood their grounds well & Fortune especially revelled in the attacking left-back role.
Despite the number of Portsmouth break-throughs caused by Rio, Howard was hardly tested!
United struggled through the first half tho' never in real danger, but improved tremendously in the 2nd & Fergie made 2 inspired substituitions when both Ronaldo & then Keane scored!
