Memorial Colliseum, Los Angeles, CA

I believe the Coliseum holds around 65,000.

The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, holds over 90,000.

The way United are performing today, Club America might get routed.

think DJDJ won't join the squad until they are in Portugal

I think Lopez will start the next match. I read that Howard will make his debut against Juve...in the stadium he called home a few weeks back. Just hope facing a European giant will not result in him feeling the jitters. I just hope he can make some brilliant saves.

4pm Sunday local time, which is 7pm EST and 12am Monday GMT.

No, it is at midnight. We are currently on British Summer time (BST) until the clocks go back an hour in Austumn to Greenwich Mean time. It does get confusing because if foreign websites will usually quote GMT times. Either way I'm going to be bleery eyed at work on monday morning! Does anyone know anything about Club America? Are they going to be a sterner test than Celtic?

EST is GMT +4 during summer months
BST is GMT +1 " "

KO is 1200 BST (local time)
KO is 1100 GMT

It's best just to ignore GMT since it is confusing

Bliimin eck.

Someone help me here, is it MONDAY morning, as in 2 minutes before Midnight it was 11:58 on SUNDAY. Or is it Sunday morning, where 2 minutes before midnight it is Saturday.

Bloomin Yanks and there time zones.</strong><hr></blockquote>

It is actually our time zone that is confusing. Our clocks go forward an hour during summer so that we get lighter evenings & back an hour in winter for lighter mornings. I blame the farmers! Something to do with daylight saving or summit! So KO is bang on the cusp of Sunday night/monday morning at midnight. Enjoy

12am monday morning, 2 minutes before it was Sunday, 24 hours before that was Saturday

It just occured to me it would have been easier if you had asked on which day the match will end. It ends on Monday morning.

For those who asked for information about Club America, here is what I can gather:

Est. 1916, based in Mexico City.

Silverware includes 8 Mexican League titles; 5 each of the Mexican Professional and Mexican Super Cups, both competitions now defunct; 4 CONCACAF Cups; 1 Giants Cup

Manager: Manuel Lapuente Diaz

Players you might know: Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Mexican league's version of RVN as I've heard it), Luis Hernandez, Ivan Zamorano.

Some other WC capped players: Duilio Davino, Braulio Luna, Pavel Pardo, Adolfo Rios, German Villa, all Mexican.

Blanco is that guy who invented the 'bunny-hop' at France 98 where he traps the ball between both feet & jumps over the tackle. Fantastic stuff. I'm a bit worried about the heat. 4pm KO is bound to give them an advantage.

They are a good team anyway, probably around the same quality as Celtic I'd guess, but you're right; they will have a big advantage from the heat. It could be a tough match.

I wouldn't expect them to show us too much respect either, so I don't think we'll see anyone pulling out of tackles.

i can't imagine that they'd have that great of an advantage because of heat - our squad certainly has more depth in the likely event (even more likely given that it is a preseason friendly) of a large amount of substitutions (which would counter the effects of the heat).

temperatures should be in the high 80s/low 90s fahrenheit (around 32 celsius).

also of note: the match was originally scheduled for 2pm and was later moved back to 3 and then finally to 4. it's unclear whether this was due to any heat consideration.

Media say 92,000 in Colisseum with about 60,000 tickets already sold.

I didn't think anyone bothered with the 12 hour clock anymore.

Except the dinosaurs amongst us obviously. :)
