Howard was exceptional. This was a fantastic start for him. Barthez must be shaking in his boots. This is our #1 goalkeeper right here. No question. Richardson looking good too...he's getting into position well and won't be long before he's knockin em in.

I think Diego was really meant to be a midfielder, he plays suberbly outside the box (as others have said). Good pace, good ball skills, great passing, and a great long shot... he just can't score in close. <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />
As much as I like Fab, I think he could well be done. Howard is most definitely the future for us, and could very well be the present as well.

Nice interview with Howard. When asked what his chances are to start, he said all work hard and see what the manager has to say about it. Very nice kid, very humble and a hell of a talent.

We won't see many better games than that all season. All those people watching the game on US TV must be awestruck by United. We probably gained another few million fans after that game against the "European Champions" Juventus.
