Would you two stop the cat fight for a moment and enjoy our last moments in the Champions League for this season ?

Well done lads!!

Proud of you. :D

At least we beat the feckers.

Just goes to show how difficult it is to play against money.

United's flag is deepest red,
It shrouded all our Munich dead,
Before their limbs grew stiff and cold,
Their heart's blood dyed it's ev'ry fold.

Then raise United's banner high,
Beneath it's shade we'll live and die,
So keep the faith and never fear,
We'll keep the Red Flag flying here.

We'll never die, we'll never die,
We'll never die, we'll never die,
We'll keep the Red flag flying high,
'Cos Man United will never die

Excellent game.

I hope their heads don't drop for the remaining league games because there were a lot of positives tonight, not least of all, character.

Doubt this can happen, just beat Real Madrid. Just the first leg that could have been better.

Doesn't feel like we beat them does it? It was a great game but ohhhhh our defence. We won. That's good enough for me right now. We just beat Real 4-3
Shit

Very young defence against possibly the best forward line in the world.

Their second goal was the killer, it was disgraceful defending, but we should be proud of them, they never gave up and we've beaten on the night the so called best team in the world, although I think we are a match for them when we play our game and pressure them. Unfortunatly we tried to play their game for the 1st half, nice passing insted of just going for it. We'll be back next year.

due to our exit or the tremendous effort by our lads?

It wasn't disgraceful. Inadequate perhaps, but not disgraceful.

Surreal game...

We missed three excellent chances in the second half...if we were more clinical..then who knows what may have happened.. (thats the difference, they finished their chances, we didn't)

But atleast we won, the lads went down fighting.

Last point.. the crowd was superb.

Give'em a few years. Big games like this will teach our youngsters alot. This is probably why our young players get so good, they play big games. Liverpool as an example just buy talents who never get to play these games and they never really develop up to their potential (few exceptions)

at the sadness of being outdone by Real again, at the reception our fans gave Ronaldo, at Beckhams' free kick which made me feel for him having only played 1/3 of a match.

Aye, Could easily have been 6 each, Madrid missed some great chances too.

Becks could had a hat-trick.

the gamble on veron backfired.

proud and simple as that.
a bit more luck and we could have done it .

er....no.

we had the clearer chances.

We did, but don't deny that Real had the cushion, the upper hand, and had we scored they always looked capable of scoring again if necessary. That's what upsets me. We gave so much, looked so threatening but looked so vulnerable at the same time.

Eh? Casillas pretty much had everything bounce off him.

glad to see the fans give Ronaldo a good reception. That was 2 fingers up to everyone who said he was fat and past it. Including ones on here for the last 6 months. He may be fat but he's far from past it. Rio couldnt handle him at all.

on the united side, nice to get 3 goals. Get show from Becks as sub, he was well up for it. On another day we may have scored 6.

You could have had more with better finishing then? No?

You had some great chances yep.

Portillo missed a sitter though, and Macca should have done better in the first half.

Anyway, no matter, good game and very well played.

Yes..

Strange thing is that we've missed the better chances over the two legs.. All their goals have been down to indivual brilliance. Raul and Figo in the first leg, Ronaldo tonight. Better finishing and who knows what may have happened?

So, how many chances did they have? not many clearcut ones over the two legs... they scored some amazing goals from half chances... we on the other hand missed some sitters.
