United in global deal with Bulova

Manchester United and Bulova announce global partnership
• Bulova will become the club's official timekeeper
(NYSE:Man Utd) English Premier League football club Manchester United and prestigious global watchmaker Bulova have today announced a three-year sponsorship agreement to become the club's official timekeeper and global partner.
Established in the USA in 1875, Bulova is a world leader in the manufacturing of timepieces and clocks. Much like Manchester United, Bulova is a company steeped in history and a pioneer in its industry.
Bulova has long been known for its technological prowess and quality craftsmanship. It presented the first full lines of men's and ladies' wristwatches, invented the first clock radio in 1928 and was the first manufacturer to offer electric clocks in 1931.

Hopefully this will remind Woodward how little time is left in the transfer window...tick tock.

These are the kind of signings the 'football club' love to sign.

I wonder if devilish is really a fan. He seems to hate the club!

Yeah I know, if you read earlier posts I said its just something I picked up in another forum, you can kind of see their point though.

I still don't see your/their point though! "Marketing United" is just a fairly rubbish attempt to make a quip about United's sponsorship deals, I don't see how it adds anything to either thread. In my opinion obviously, perhaps some people found it useful.

I wonder which part of my post you disagree with. You think that Manchester United Football club LTD doesn't like signing new sponsors? We're unbeatable on that.

   What about Leon Osman, dev? Got anything witty to say about him?

I bet that Woodward would prefer a sponsor to him. We'll wait and see once he manage to get out from the Manchester Airport.

Woodward is not in the commercialization dept anymore, that is the group that does that sponsorship deals, funny how at various business one dept does it'sjob regardless of what is going on in another dept.

Reds announce Apollo Tyres deal

Manchester United announces sponsorship with Apollo Tyres
• Apollo to be Official Tyre Partner in UK and India
• Apollo Tyres will create football based play zones, using recycled rubber, in local communities in the UK and India to encourage healthy lifestyles among youngsters

Manchester United Football Club and Apollo Tyres, a leader in tyre manufacturing and distribution, has announced a three-year regional partnership in which Apollo Tyres becomes the Club's Official Tyre Partner in the UK and India.
A key element of the partnership will be a joint community commitment to encourage healthy lifestyles and develop sporting skills in young people. Apollo will build “Go The Distance” football pitches made from recycled tyres in local communities across the UK and India, with the first being on site (as part of a fan zone/play zone) at Old Trafford.
During today’s launch event, Manchester United first-team players Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans were joined by children from Burnage Media Arts College - a partner school of the Manchester United Foundation - and Foundation staff, to participate in the specially-created Apollo Tyres “Go The Distance” skills challenges that will be similar to those featured on the new pitches, which encourage users of the Apollo football play zones to achieve excellence in control, agility, speed, precision and tricks.

They any good in a midfield two with Carrick?
sorry!

There is a joke to do with Anderson and Tyres somewhere in here... I just can't quite put my finger on what it is though.

It should provide us with a nice balance but I do worry about the pressure of such a big deal.

I agree, I think this has set the wheels in motion for a transfer, at last.
