He is probably afraid that van Gaal will prefer RvP over him. That is if the story is even true at all.
Nice face though?Simeone hasn't changed either. He looks closer to winning big things with them, which is an incredible achievement, but he's done it with a totally different group of players. He's never managed a massive club and he's never really had to handle big players. I've also read that his management style would be very abrasive at a top club. I don't know why but the Spanish journo didn't think he'd be cut out for United.
And if he did, he certainly didnt tell the media. Rooney is just worried hell have to be managed.Obviously he didn't say that to the club. What's the benefit for him? He knows they won't listen and he'll piss off his new manager on the way in the door.
Which takes me back to my original bafflement about all these Cavani rumours.
yes he can - mourinho won t mind, just to mention one.Rooney has no bargaining power with the club anymore. Can he find himself a similar deal at another big club? No. He has 5 years left on his contract too.
Me too. Rooney needs a slap and Van the man is the one who will give it to him.Oh in that case I hope we really do appoint LVG.
They don't, but this particular article is purely speculative. The BBC does not generally do rumors right?
I can't see the club leaving it 'til the final game of the season before announcing it, especially when you consider Ogden, Taylor, and Ducker will inevitably be reporting it as a finalised deal beforehand.
This makes sense and henceforth I'm working on the assumption it's correct. My guess is there was some kind of breakdown between Moyes and van Persie, resulting in RvP declaring his intention to leave Old Trafford in the summer, or Moyes deciding to get rid of him. Therefore Cavani was sought as a replacement.
But the imminent arrival at OT of the manager who made van Persie captain of Holland changes everything. So no more Cavani.
Hopefully.
Maybe.
Who knows?
Might just be to let giggs have his moment in the sun so to speak. All this talk of a tidal wave of support for giggs is rubbish IMO. I'm sure some people would like to see him get a crack at it but it seems most united fans think we need an experienced manager.
They are hating on him because he seems invincible due to to the extraordinary amount of success he had in a minuscule amount of time. Yes, he was playing the same system through out.Guardiola will be going nowhere, it's ridiculous the criticism he's receiving, he's had an extraordinary first season at Bayern. Even if Bayern were to let him go I see him taking another year out.
This makes sense and henceforth I'm working on the assumption it's correct.
Louis van Gaal will be confirmed as Manchester United's new manager next week, reports the annoyingly reliable @Ian_Ladyman_DM
Next season.![]()
I'd rather LVG at this stage. I just want the one with the biggest bollocks, and all evidence points to that being LVG by some margin.
Van Bommel’s version
“I have to confirm this story. Van Gaal tried to explain to the team that when he made a substitution, he did so for the sake of the team, not for himself. He asked me to translate his point to the players, but after several attempts he thought I hadn’t done it well enough. So he tried to make the point in his own way. By dropping his pants. The players responded with laughter. Luca Toni wasn’t impressed with the size. Van Gaal just continued his speech, but later this moment was often parodied by us. It certainly didn’t have the effect Van Gaal intended.”
