No. One will praise the other and vice versa. Yes, they have different playing styles and for sure will emphasize their superior philosophy - but apart from that they both are friends and often phone. And they know each other.
That is a press talk with them after the CL final in 2010 (when Mou announced to go to Real, too). Mou said that he does not bite who made him big... - the part with Mou and van Gaal starts at about minute 6:00, Mou speaks English!

By all accounts, Van Gaal operates with two assistant coaches, one of them is preferably part of the existing coaching staff. If Giggs wants it, I'm sure there will be a role for him. That's what many of the reports are indicating, at least.

What was the scoreline?
Inter won 2-0.
My recollection is Inter defended deep while Bayern dominated possession, but they couldn't create any clear chances. Inter hit them with a bit of link up between Milito and Sneijder to go 1-0 up in first half. Bayern missed a golden chance to equalise right after half time, pretty much their only opening. Inter eventually hit them on the counter with Milito scoring a class 2nd goal.
Game of few chances really, Inter were clinical, Bayern's centre backs weren't great.

I remember it being pretty one sided. Wasn't a Mou performance like Sunday's vs Liverpool. Inter were the better team and while Bayern huffed and puffed Inter just hit them with a lovely pair of goals by Milito and never looked troubled.
I imagine this will get dragged out for the next week at least to see if Mourinho or Ancelloti are out of the Champions League.
Well Van Gaal says he always keeps at least one member of the coaching team when he moves to a new club. I can only really see that being Giggs. There's certainly room for both coaches, as long as both are clear what their roles are.

Seems like Ancelotti is first choice and LVG is the backup if Ancelotti doesn't leave Madrid.
It is interesting that Castles uses 3 trophies in the last 15 years as his stat. It also works out as 3 trophies in the last 5 years even though 2 of those years have been spent coaching at International level.
For comparison - Pellegrini is still to win a major title in 10 years of European football.
