This is the difference though. When Rooney is out of position he is absolute piss poor, when he is in position he changes games. I just wonder how much Giggs hinders us in that respect?

I hope Rio is far more restrained this second half, he is a useful player when contributing to attack, but seeing him bomb up the right flank doesn't comfort me all that much, we need his pace at the back

Why oh Why do United have to make everything so hard?
For as long as I can remember they've done everything they can to promote premature aging amongst their fans.
The team wins their first 3 CL games and needs just a point to go through. So they leave it until the last game in the group and manage to go a goal down.
It's probably the reason we love them but God, it's infuriating sometimes.
No matter what happens in the second half, whether we go through or go out, we are not going to win the CL. We are just not set up correctly for it. The opening to this game proves it. We cannot grind out results in the CL.
We seem to make every game a drama, and sooner or later the drama is a tragedy. We have a better shot at winning the league.

I really dont understand why Rooney has to play on the wing for the first 30 mins. Play Giggs on the left and if he has to help out in the middle, he still can, but play Rooney upfront!
