United v Reading [FACUP]

He is doing OK but his shooting is still really poor.

it`ll come. too eager to make an impact at the moment. Everything else about him impresses me.

Great goal by Carrick.

Highlight of a very shit game.

Brown has been good too as has Vidic.

Ronaldo done alright in patches and Park with row z'ds yet again.

Hope for improvement in the next half.

So even though Park was clearly tackling, it was considered an offside pass to Solksjaer? Shouldn't there be an allowance in the offside rule for such an instance?

Also, wasn't Solksjaer fouled in the box just before that play?

It seems to me Saha always loses balance when trying to shoot from inside the box.

Even when he's not closed down. Weird.

On the other hand Heinze has been awful so far.

My first match was at age 11, I get back about every 2 years now as my family is still in the Salford and Oldham area. Next match will be my wife's first at OT. I also take in matches at Oldham with my young cousins and nephews.

when i lived in england i went about 5 times a year as tickets became available. Unfortunately due to my sons health i came back to the states during the incredble treble run in 99. I did get to see Giggsy score that vital goal against Juve though before i left. Had to watch the 2nd leg on a 13inch tv on ESPN2 back in the states what a game that was.

I try to get back at least once a year but i havent been back since the stadium expanded.

My son recently got his make a wish granted but his is an american football fan so we are going to see bret favre play in green bay. I guess i didnt train he right:lol:

Ole has looked very out of sorts. Larson should come on for the second half
I thought he was onside. I think he will be out of gas soon. Scholes and Larsson looked like they were going to be tipped before that goal.

You can blame Park for his finishing, but his movement has been earning him his chances.

I like the fact that Park is showing more aggressiveness running into the box after scoring last week.

Shite game by all accounts, but can someone explain something to me? I'm watching that Soccernet Gamecast thing, and they suggest that Reading were the better of the two sides. Now obviously, United aren't at their best, but the shots are 16 to 4 according to that same site. How can Reading be the better side?

We can't really teach O'Shea to be good though can we?

I'm sure we can give Park shooting practise though.

Don't you think they have been doing that since he came to us a year and half ago?

Basically he works hard but his a winger that cant shoot or cross well.

Its like having a prize hen that can't lay eggs

well they are talking rubbish...we are clearly dominating and the goal was coming..

too often Saha dwells on the ball, dunno really. Sometimes he can`t get it out from under his feet and gets caught in possession. He could be stronger protecting it. When he`s not on, he`s frustrating to watch.

Vancouver's great. I'm just outside, in the Fraser Valley. Vancouver's gorgeous. Although it rains a lot.

oh am used to that! :)

has anyone noticed when kidney-head runs with the ball, he touches it so hard and sort of chases after the ball, not very close control like some of our other dribblers...

If you are used to London you will not appreciate how expensive it is here. It is a city in which what you are into is more important than what you do which is a change. Time difference is large, -8 hrs. Speaking of which back to the 2nd half.

With a bit of luck Reading will have to change their negative formation now and things should open up a bit.

Yeah, it's no problem if you emigrate from England. Manchester especially. I'm originally from Manchester (and yes I was a Stretford End regular in the early 80s), and moving to Vancouver was no problem. same weather, nicer view!
