United v Reading [FACUP]

A good Cup tie. United missed too many chances and their keeper made some good saves. With Silvestre in defence there was always the chance of them scoring.

In the replay I would expect Reading to play a strong team but United to still rest players. SO Reading may well be favorites in that game. I really don't think United have a strong enough squad to go for 3 competitions.
I agree.

Darren Fletcher (born February 1, 1984, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland) is a young football player currently playing for Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson has frequently referred to Fletcher as "the future" of Manchester United, calling him a "talisman".

In all fairness, if Saha passed someone else could have fecked up, decent shot.

Surely the other two running had a lot better chance.

Ratings

Everyone gets 1-3 apart from Ronaldo, Carrick and Brown.

Saha and Park get -10

You fecking idiot, what did Park do wrong? You ignore Ronaldo's outrageous misses, but blame for Park's missed half chances?

A real inept perfomance by most of the lads today.

Distinct lack of effort and commitment.

Not impressed today at all.

Brown, Carrick only exceptions for me

I agree Fletcher has no chance at all to getting into the United first team.

Shit , Shit nothing but wasted chances ..Reading deserved the draw . Shit ....

But, cup replays are a thing of life. Not the end of the world, we have coped before we will cope again.

not such a bad result although we could do without the replay. But I suspect Fergie will stick to a second string for the replay. The real worrying thing for me is that Chelsea won 4 0 against a team they were supposed to beat, as we were. it will give them so much confidence. They are starting to roll...and I wouldn't want this to create doubt in our team. Its all about confidence now. I really think Larson should have started...with Ole coming on later.

The replay is the game before the Liverpool game.

Basically - thats the treble fecked

feck off SAF and retire, you've fecked our season up

Execute giggs - it's all his fault we lost today

Finally,

if we'd have bought Hargreaves and Bale and Torres this wouldn't be happening

Well that is just bollocks. Norwich are languishing in the bottom third of the Championship and Reading are possibly going to be in Europe next season.

Not the side they put today.

I can't stand these threads sometimes.... get a fcuking grip u muppets. A sub-par performance from a makeshift united side against a dogged reading side led by a manager that knows how to give us a game and has already this season. Cretins

Great!...A replay at The Majeski, and I'll be there to watch the boys win it!
Cheer up Cnuts..see it as an extra game to enjoy in whats turning out to be a fantastic season.

Man United - Reading 1-1 (FA cup)
How the hell did Reading menaged to get a draw out of this game??? I must give huge credits to the away players and altough they did not deserved this draw they got it because they belived in it. We menaged to miss sooo many chances that it was really strange (not that we did not miss so many chances in one game this season also). Well maybe Grehem Poll did have something to do with that (or should I say his assistents) cos he did use his wistle to signal offside on two ocasions where United could have scored (in the first occation Solskjaer did score but the goal was disallowed). But Im ok with this results because United will play another game with the players that are rearly getting chances to play. Maybe in a week I will be able to see finally Smith back in the team which Im waithing with great interest. So nothing is lost and in the next game Im expecting a clear victory for Man Utd

Some people on here need to calm down. Just one of those days, a real cup tie, etc. It happens to the best, sometimes.

Here come the happy clappers. . .

Great result, Fergie can do no wrong, the strikers are all firing, top of the league, blah.

Obviously you don't know cup footballl... you are exactly what I'm talking about

How many times have you seen Brown and Silvestre this season?

Have you seen many games against teams that play 5-4-1?

We already drew with Reading this season just in case you weren't a supporter back then, they're a descent team with a good manager... simple as that really
