feck i am damn happy with result.
So a great day with liverpool losing 3-0 to everton. and Arsenal draw with Boro.:D

fantastic day but poor performance from us. despite what the commentators were saying I really don't think Spurs were great either. A great side would have beaten us today. You can say they had very good chances but top strikers at top sides take them and they didnt. We made quite a few ourselves today and Mr Saha may want to think about passing once in a while.

feck me! that was close again. Not a very good performance tbh. It was like one of those at the beginning of last season where we won 3 in a row but played a bit crap.

Ronaldo and Saha could've increased the lead but made some poor choices.

Anyways, 12 out of 12 and with Rooney and Scholes back, we should do better.

you need to be able to win ugly to win the premiership.

Ask Chelsea about that at times last season.

We dropped points at home to spurs last season.

Spurs played well today, and they controlled the midfield in spells. I think we were dangerous on the break except for the final pass/cross/shot basically.

Saha should have made it 2-0 and in other games, profligacy in front of goal will mean dropped points.

Onto Celtic and hopefully a better performance with Scholes and Rooney back in the side again

As far as performances go, I think Giggsy and Ronaldo were good today and Saha also did well inspite of the finishing.

Richardson :nervous:

Get a grip some of you out there Spurs have drawn with us over the last two seasons at OT - they didn't this time and if we win the league this year you wont remeber this game but you'll remember the three points we got

DaSpot has been given a 2 day ban for posting P2P links.

Next time he does it it will not be only for two days.

It was a good performance, no matter what you say. We didn't allow them too much of space and they didn't create too many opportunities. In fact we could've made it 2-0 and kill the game, but it ended positively anyway.

Don't forget that we were without Scholes and Rooney, that's why every ball that bounced in front of penalty area ended up nowhere, there was no player who could shoot it. Once they are back, we are going to be much better, as Fulham game has shown. Rooney will also make Saha better, they compliment very well and Saha won't have to take inept shots anymore, he will have someone to pass the ball to.

First test passed very well, we can beat very good team with two important players out. Next test, against Arsenal, will show us how strong we are with them against top team.

Season has been going our way so far with all of our rivals struggling. Chelsea have 9 points and for time being they are only team that can surpass us in one day, as long as you don't count Everton as title contenders :smirk: I know it's only a beginning, but isn't it better to leave Arsenal 10 points behind at the start than to chase them afterwards? I reckon it is.

We did ok, Spurs are not a crap team as certain others we have already played are. Excellent result.

Jaysus H, my nerves are shreaded :(

Betweeen Saha missing every chance that came his way and Wes Brown continually gifting Mido and Defoe free headers I'm a wreck here!!!!

I shunder to think of the effect on their (Brown, Saha) confidence are that display!!

Obviously a win, any win, does help to keep morale up generally. I'm sure the team will rally round and keep us on track.

Great result despite a tough game without Rooney and Scholes. Full points from 4 games with Rooney & Scholes to return. It is a great feeling to be top of the table! Bring on Celtic and Arsenal!!!!!

Quite a poor performance. But a great result.

4 down, 34 to go.

Happy with the result, especially with the result at Goodison Park with Phil lead the team and also a good performance by Tim.

So how is our crowd today at Old Trafford, lads? I think they're not as silent as before, at least from the telly :)

God, you lot are a tough crowd!

Is noone else chuffed to bits by 4 wins on the trot and 9 points out of 9 with Rooney and Scholes suspended?

And you have checked the Arse and Liverpool results, right?

:D

Don't know about anyone else, but I totally agree with this... WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE AFTER FOUR GAMES.. no-one is on the same points as us, we have a slightly bigger goal difference than those in 2nd ..

After four games ... already

Chelsea trail us by 3 points
Pool trail us by 8 points
... and Arsenal .. by 10 points

This 1-0 win at the weekend was vital Carrick played some grea through balls, not all perfect but in a little time when they have learned to play together more..., SAF said that some of these players had not even trained that week since coing back from internationals, we have come through three games wthout Rooney and Scholes with perfect results, not to mention the clean sheet at the weekend ... and already we have 7 different goalscorers.. all plus's. Let's hope this continues into the champs league also

Wazza-up Arsenal and Liverpool have a game in hand though so the margins aren't realistically that large.

Even if they win those games in hand it's a pretty healthy lead. And we've done it without our best 2 players (IMO) for 3 out of the 4 games played. And what's even more pleasing is that Arse Pool and Chelsea have all dropped points against teams we would expect to beat, none of them have played against a decent side (apart from, maybe, Liverpool against Everton).
