Ole to save United again. We were wasteful infront of the goal and not focused enough
 
Scholes MOM without a doubt, Saha only if he scored another goal, as he had plenty of chances

This is true although there were some encouraging moments, particularly in the second half. And consider that Rooney didn't play up to his best today. United showed more energy today than in all of their CL matches last season. Celtic gave them a good game but United were the better side.
 
Ole should take more shots from distance, he has a fantastic shot on him, so I wouldn't mind him taking a few pops from outside the box.

Anyway, we got the win, and thats the most important thing ! :)

Cannavaro was fcuking shite. Juninho was brillant.

I miss the second half though

That's the United I like. Not even slightest piece of tactics, all they know is that they have to score more goals than opponents.

I fecking love games like that, 0-1, then 2-1, disappointment and 2-2, decisive goal, a lot of situations from both sides. I'm proud of our boys, at least my friends who watch games will be telling me 'man, that was a game' instead of 'I turned off TV, I knew no one was going to score'.
 
Worst players overall were Silvestre, Rooney and Ole. Nakamura was class, but some of Celtic's backline made Fletch look like a 100m sprinter! O'Shea came on at just the right time for us and did a good job. Gary had McGeady in his pocket all game and then Maloney when he came on as well. Defensively we looked distinctly shaky, but up front we were excellent if wasteful

I saw when they took out Beck's....he looked absolutley quite positivley pissed
 
Defensive was awful tonight.
I though Carrick was pretty poor tonight hopefully he will get better
 
Fun match to watch. Goal wise. Celtic played well..better than expected by most. Both sides of supporters were in from start to finish. Gerrard who? Lampard who? Said it before and Ill say it again. Id Scholes before Stevie and Frank.

Haven't read the matchday thread is he more annoying than the Celtic fans?
 
I thought we were a frigging shambles in defence in the first half and shakey throughout the 2nd.

We also sat back for large spells in the 2nd half which was probably a bit stupid given that they looked poor at the back and good up front, although it obviously made sense to not leave large gaps at the back I thought we invited them on a bit in the game when we really didn't need to.

Overall, I'm delighted at the 3 points, concerned about the amount of chances that went to waste and our defence.
 
Better second half but not totally confident about defence through the match as a whole. Should have buried a couple more goals in second half but we got through the"derby" and thats whats important
 
People, Celtic are a shit team, Lennon barely moved in the second half. We were awful against Spurs and although we won easily enough in the end , the signs are really not great. If Carrick can't grab a game like that by the scruff, he'll find it hard against one of the contenders ... on recent evidence
