i think with respect to celtic they are a decent side .. boruc is a fine keeper and nakamura is quality ... utd can and will play better

First things first, it wasn't a penalty (nobody can deny that) but United deserved their win. With Benfica drawing I'm actually happy with tonight. I didn't know what to expect.

United should have won but I don't feel they should have won by much more. Rooney had a great chance but that's about it. Telfer was feckin playing for you lot. :lol:

Venegoor should have scored from the free header from Nakamura's free-kick.
Saha was absolutely class.
Scholes was class.
Rooney and Carrick were queit.
McGeady was so nervous that I could have played better.
Gravesen was at fault for 2 goals. Not a great start for him. :(
Lennon was his usual crap self.
Wilson was his usual solid self.
Nakamura wasn't at his best but anyone could see that he's a class act.
Vennegoor's looking good.
Our defence looked good. :eek:

Good game. Nobody will beat United at Old Trafford so we had nothing to lose tonight.
 
The penalty was OK. The goalkeeper made contact so he canlt really complain. The one that wasn't given when Gravesen pulled Rooney to the ground by his shirt should have been given.

Celtic were well up for it especially in the first half and in the end the score line flattered them.

Well, yes we had the shots, but no there weren't enough on target.

If Rooney had scored the real chance he had, it would have been a whole lot more though to be honest because it would have opened everything up

Saha had a stonewall penalty turned down in the second half too. All in all its three points, but we need too be a bit more clinical and use the width more. When Ronaldo comes back it will be a different story.
 
I think we definitely deserved the win, I watched he game with two of my mates, both non-united supporters and they agreed that we have at least two or three very good penalty claims, not including the one where the keeper made contact with Giggs, and we know he did, even though it was only slight, thats all it took.. now he's out for 3 weeks :eek: .. just as he's playing his best he's played for us. In my opinion it couldn't have happened to him at a worse time.

Negative's
Rio - Lack of concentration caused to lose the first goal
Orange - Bad Tackle 44th minute caused free kick which led to 2nd goal
Giggs - Out for 3 weeks
Rooney - Not match fit cos of FA!!!!
Maybe just me thinks this one, but I didn't fell that VDS was 100% match fit either.

I think we've already matched our goal tally in CL from last year.. (could be wrong though.)

No, he got himself sent off in the amserdam tourny. And he would of been match fit if he didnt manage to get himself banned from Englands qualifers to..
