The article as well as many other keep peddling the lack of game time as an RR issue, when really it's Ole's for having amassed such a bloated squad.
There was a recent article, which I should really have linked up on the CAF, painting Jesse in a good light while using very harsh words about another player: that article sounded like a leak from Jesse. While I don't like to speculate generally, am convinced Jesse is leaking stuff. It may even have been in the Guardian.
Also, it has been said a number of times, but they're really acting like petulant teenagers. RR is only here for 6 months and he had to bring in some coaches: obviously all the good coaches are probably in jobs already, how many good coach out there is available for 6 months and is familiar with RR's methods!
It's not disappointing to put them under a microscope. Locker room unrest was basically implied by our own player, Shaw. People say it's made up but our own player alluded to issues off the pitch. It's not like those names are even performing well. Their untouchable inclusion in the team is causing problems on and off the pitch. They are stinking up the joint. I even understand any player saying they shouldn't be beyond dropping. I'd also desperately like to see them dropped when they play poorly. It's the Lukaku issue all over again where the players are good but not good enough to earn the status they enjoy. It takes more than a one season wonder to have that kind of status. Show it or hit the bench.

This seems to be the issue. He is not a #10 and has never been one in his career. He has always played slightly advanced in a midfield 3. That’s probably why RR doesn’t use him in the midfield 2. Ole brought him so should have known that but there was complete mismanagement of him Im not a fan of the 4-2-2-2 however I do believe he can play alongside a DM in a 4-2-3-1.
so much for leaving the squad in a better state. Absolute ticking timebomb but yes, we should prefer to see them stay together. A rebuild on this scale is unrealistic. Even with a higher success rate on transfers you can't rebuild a turnover of this scale.
Issue is how to get past the internal politics and preferential treatment. Will these so called winners still want to stay together if they had to ride the bench every now and then? Some only want to win from the starting lineup. We also need Pep level squad management to keep them happy because this squad is way too big. Maybe it's a good thing we got an interim to suffer these issues before the permanent hire.
Whom did Man City end up buying when Maguire became too pricy for them? Was it Laporte or Dias? Either way, they probably don't regret their decision. Even through he hasn't been very good this season, he was outstanding last season. I hope he blocks out the noises and gets himself back into the form he had shown.

I'm really curious since Ole has been gone, who are these untouchables / or droppables that the media are alluding to? I can only think of DDG, MCT to an extend and Ronaldo but everyone else has been drop, sub, rested.
Most have been given a chance and sadly not doing so well. Honestly after watching RR's interview about us making bad decisions, 'escorting' opposition players to our half, and he talked about the Wolves goals scored by an unmarked player. I don't even think the issue is tactics as the coach clearly knows the issue.
On the other hand, I can understand the motivational issues with these players, they have been under a lot of abuse from fans, ex players, media. Ole, Carrick from all accounts are really popular with them and all left in space of a month. I'm sure there are some impact to their motivation and mood. But enough to cause a mutiny?! Just lazy journalism.
The fact is we are not playing well, opponents found how to deal with us this season, our top performer is off form and for some reason we can't make simple passes. Probably 1-2 fringe player leaking unhappiness to the press and this got blow up out of proportions by the media.
I'm curious to see if the reported unhappy players will jump from 17 next week. it goes any higher we won't need to speculate who is unhappy anymore. We just need to discount the one that is smiling.

I don't know why that group should get spared. They are the ones doing the actual underwhelming weekly. Meanwhile the Lingards and VDBs who haven't seen the pitch in eons are fair game to get slaughtered for performances they weren't even part of. I'm almost bursting out laughing thinking about our logic. They all need to feel the heat.

We are, collectively, in the bottom percentile for every metric that is a reflection of work rate. Check the successful sides like City, Bayern and Pool then compare with our pampered and overprotected lot and you will see why it's not a mystery that things have gone to shit.
Problems started with Ole, he protected the starters and now that they being challenged they revolt. RR actually alluded to them not buying in to his ideas with his 'they are at least trying'. At this level you don't fecking 'at least try' you do. These players have no shame, they ought to be ashamed that their manager has questioned their commitment and intensity.
Ralf is not a top tier manager on par with Pep and Klopp but he is here and they have to show him respect. They had the manager they wanted but got him sacked by playing like amateurs. Now some of them are saying they are mad that Carrick left, didn't they have Carrick when Liverpool came and humiliated us? Our problems didn't start with Rangnick, at least he can help the club identify the snakes poisoning the well.
I don't think it's everyone but there seems a faction that liked Carrick and the old coaches. After Ole got sacked there were reports of an opposite faction that weren't happy his staff remained because they were more of the same. This was round about the time when the stuff about their overly simple training methods came out. Think these factions are all just vying for someone that will favour their side of the lockerroom. It's not the club's wellbeing being sought after, it's personal agendas. The players that are already leaving are easy to deal with. We at least have the benefit of knowing where we stand with those ones. Imo the ones staying are the real problems that have to be straightened asap. None are good enough to be exerting dressing room influence on the manager at Manchester United. Not even our captain is that important.
Talk is cheap. Every player wants to win titles, the difference is most of the players judging by performances in cup matches think just by being at United in itself they will win trophies.

It's been apparent for a while that we have a problem with factionalism in the dressing room. Ole came in and pandered to the homegrown sect which then formed the core of his rebuild whilst players like Lukaku and Sanchez deservedly paid the price but the same players that he elevated let him down badly when he needed them the most and most have to know that if we get a continental manager all of them will be gone within three seasons.
Our problems don't have much to do with poor form, even Liverpool go through phases where their best players aren't on it but the effort and commitment levels don't drop. Ours can start well in a game, concede a goal against the run of play and suddenly heads drop, the finger pointing starts and the effort levels go down drastically.
I actually liked the idea of having a British core to bring back the gritty, humble values of our old dressing rooms but I knew Ole and Phelan bungled it up from that first summer where they went after every British player available. Fergie would never spend 80m on Maguire. He only went into club record territory for the rooneys and ferdinands not the ones with values overinflated by their nationality. Leicester would have been the first ones to tell us he wasn't worth that. SAF got Smalling and Jones for 10m and Young an experienced head for 18m, absolute bargains back then, even considering inflation 50m for AWB was just pissing money. SAF would have walked away.
That officially put us in the territory of buying British for the sake of it. Ole that summer would be the type to pay a world record fee for Andy carroll and charlie adams. I include Phelan in that sham because he was reportedly a central figure in the transfer strategy and reportedly even wanted to be the DoF figure at the club. We now have a faction of homegrown players that aren't even that great yet reported to be part of the dressing room divisions Shaw alluded to.
