Valencia CF v Manchester United

Does anyone really have too much hope from this game? With the players out for us and Valencia being in great form and also considering our poor away form I would gladly take a draw today.

Me too, a loss would be tough to take considering our inconsistency so far this season.

I'm more worried that if we do go a goal up that the team will sit back and exert the pressure which just isnt the United way. A draw wouldnt be the worst case scenario here, but a victory would feel pretty sweet.

Yes.
Rooney, Scholes, Giggs, Valencia out...not to mention Rio, Anderson, Carrick back from injuries.
I don't know. I remain optimistic
2-1 United. The lads up their game in important matches like this

Have we ever won in Spain? If not we will tonight.

We'll win today.

My guess for starting line up.

VDS
O'Shea, Rio, Vida, Evra
Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson
Nani, Berbatov, Park

Bench: TK, Owen, Evans, Gibson, Chicharito, Bebe, Rafael

Would like to see Owen play with Berbatov after his recent goal scoring form but doubt we will. Thinking the team won't be too far off Shimo's lineup with Park involved etc. Looking forward to this game, hope we get something.

Don't think we should be too worried about Valencia's league position as its very early days and on our day we're better than them. Hopefully the back 5 are organised in this game!!! We have the players to score.

Me too. Don't know why, but we perform our best when our backs are against the wall. Hope I'm proven right.
Me to. For me its the aggression we've been playing with away from home that has me convince. With Rio back to organise the back 4 better. If we keep that aggression in attack going vs Valencia they wont enjoy defending against us.

Got to get amongst them early on if not a draw is the best to hope for.

Yes, we won in Spain in 1999 to lift a very important trophy. But against Spanish opposition (in Spain), we've won once in 18 attempts.

To be honest, with our away form as it is and the players we have missing i'd be quite pleased with a draw.

Why is time so insufferable? 2 God Damn hours until kick off :(

Quit complaining. I have to wait 6 hours after it starts before I get home, which also means avoiding the Caf completely, which makes the workday even longer. I used to be able to just stick to the non-football forums, but after the game against Rangers, some knob had to post about Valencia's injury to the fecking NFL thread.

Neither do I

I think they mean the nou camp final in 99, I meant against Spanish opposition, which, we could have done last week but I wouldn't have a clue righ now.

Once cool, tonight it will be twice.

Berbatov and Owen to night and we'll win by 3 goals.

a clean sheet will do nicely for a change, we need to stop the rot of conceding 2 goals in every away games.
