Watford vs Manchester United.

Saha is having to come too deep to get the ball. Ole has looked slow and out of form. Silvestre with a few defensive errors, and O'Shea seems unfamiliar with the right back after so long in midfield. Carrick is learning a new team, and Fletcher is in a more forward position than last year.

Still and all, I expect a few goals next half will put Watford away.

My choice would be to take Ole off and put Park on. Park should run rings around Watford. Then Ronaldo could move to the left, and Giggs could go into the central midfield. Put Fletcher and Carrick into a more defensive role. If we control the midfield then the game should be ours.

Wouldn't be surprised if Carrick is taken off at halftime he's not fully match fit.Still think we can win it.

dropping evra and fecking with the back 4 is just the sort of thing that disrupts us. We should have gone with the team that started against Charlton.

Maybe even put carrick in for O'Shea, but leave the back 4 alone

Nice one Silvestre

Silvestre is a grade A liability!!

it seems to have been a sloppy performance more than anything. Good chances missed and shite defending on the goal.

Looking at the side, i had reservations about the changes SAF made and it seems to have disrupted the side. e.g silvestre in at left back has had a tough time vs young and it seems that the midfield haven't been as impressive this time round.

how has ole played?

overall - i expect the lads to step it up defensively and take some of their chances as it seems that watford haven't been impressive in defence themselves.

We really should be doing much better against Watford.
Carrick or Ole doesn't really look to be in the game at all for the first half.
Giggs and Ronaldo are taking far too much touches out on the wings, every time we have passed and moved pretty quickly we have looked dangerous. We need to start playing better!!! Disappointing

I am registered, but I can't see a link anywhere.

The weather is good and the pitch is good, plus we have some very capable players out there. There really is no excuse for a poor performance today. Hopefully we'll see some recovered cohesion in the second half, the defence being dodgy on crosses might be because they've been thrown together as an unfamilier four, not sure if it's by choice. Should get better as the game goes on in that respect, i.e knowing where people are etc.

Told you guys this is the kind of match we'd have trouble with.

Although now that I've said that we'll probably win 8-1.

Yes, we're definetely going to have trouble. Definetely. :nervous:

This aint the game for Evra I would say but if things dont get any better then feck it... put him on. Ole needs to be in these 'apparently' nothing games to get his sharpness back... wont happen over night.

Who was to blame for the goal. I understand that it was a cross from the byline - so who was beaten there? Also Who should have been marking the scorer?

Thanks guys

We dont seem to have the cutting edge upfront. Ronaldo, I mean is all trickery with his dribbling but his finishing is poor. Saha & Ole looks sloppy today and lacked support from midfield with Carrick going missing.

We seem to have lost the tempo and fluidity from the first 2 games. I think Ole should come and let Rossi get his chance.

Brown was beaten on Watfords right side, as he slipped a small bit, whenthe cross was put in, it trickled over Silvestre and went to their attacker.

Just a combination of some bad luck from Brown and a mistake from Silvestre.
