Anything else would be suicidal in my opinion, telling the captain to feck off after a couple of weeks would probably not be a great first move. I assume he has the balls to drop him if he plays shite and ship him off next summer. It's too early.

It wont matter, if he's shit there will be something other than him to blame, there always is. It's such a shame that we are building towards an exciting new team and yet we are stuck with this has-been in such a key role when we've bought a player who is better at it than him.
