That he didnt hit it right and took a bit of an effect.
Gonna try to check the goal again to see if i'm wrong.
Don't understand people saying it was luck. WUMs.
He meant to hit it hard, with the outside of the right foot, and it was meant to end up in the top left hand corner.
It DID end up being hit hard, and it ended up swerving and nestled in the top right hand corner.
Was the luck that he did exactly what he intended. But then you could say that ANY fantastic goal was luck. For starts - Giggs goal vs Arsenal in 99 was luck, or Beckham's half-way line goal was luck.
Get a life people!
Good point about the injuries. I'm just still not convinced that the seven-on-the-bench rule will make all that much of a difference to young players, development-wise. If Welbeck plays like that in training, he's going to get chances to play no matter how many are on the bench. Very glad to see them both play though, would have been over the moon if Manucho could have scored as well. BTW, if anyone hasn't seen the game, the MotD highlights are now available in the video thread .The reason they haven't featured before now was because Welbeck missed most of pre-season with injury and Manucho is still finding his feet in English football and has also only just recovered from a long-term injury.

Well, i do hope for both Wellbeck and Campbell to have long term futures with Manchester United. They are very different players. Danny is more of a Kanu or Adebayor, wheres Frazier is towards the Eto or Andy Cole type.
As we cannot compare black players to white onesAnd Manucho is our Heskey![]()
There is no way Gibson will make it, not saying he is shit on a stick or anything, but he just isnt a good enough player imo
If Welbeck only gets a couple of late cameo appearances in the league, it will make far less of an impact on his development than the year he will have spent training with the senior squad every day at Carrington. He's also going to get a few opportunities in the Cups, true, but that's going to happen with or without the seven man bench. You're on a verge of being wrong, mate. If we're only allowed 5 subs, chances are Welbeck or Manucho will not be making the bench at all, no matter how good they perform on the training pitch. We'll see the likes of O'Shea getting minutes here and there, just because he makes the bench in the first place. In terms of development, cameos here and there play a significant role.

Welbeck will save us £25 million (not Tevez though)
Just as Evans will save us lots of money.
This is the benefit of a youth system.
Query: Did we buy Evans as a youngster?
what about of all time?
He came to United in 2006, at age 18, from Greenisland FC in Northern Ireland. Don't think we had to buy him though.Welbeck will save us £25 million (not Tevez though). Just as Evans will save us lots of money. This is the benefit of a youth system. Query: Did we buy Evans as a youngster?

Once he regains full fitness, I hope Welbeck gets as many matches as possible here. I think he's the real deal, would hate to see him go out on loan.
