My point was about needing Hernandez in tight games. What he did vs Everton was invaluable. He made our dominance count. Which is important in tough matches. I have little doubt he'd have done the same if we had played him vs City from the start.
"hate?"
you're surely going overboard there? I seriously doubt anyone "hates" him.
IndeedIndeed. I said after 20 mins vs. City that it was a perfect game for Hernandez because we had so much possession but no cutting edge, Hernandez gives us that.
The way pocco talks it's like we're comparing Messi with Klose, rather than Hernandez with Welbeck.
There were plenty of posters who used to openly dislike/hate him. They've all seem to gone quiet lately though
I cant remember what team it was, but I visited another football forum one day and in their "most hated footballers" list, I was stunned at how many said Welbeck. I genuinely cant see whats to dislike about him. I honestly don't see it.
Is there a reason you feel this is important to point out? Aside from the comedy value, of course.
A common and nonsensical excuse applied by people who know they're being daft: "It's not me, it's my human nature!"And yes, often players can look like they have a shit attitude and are disliked by their own fans, only to win them around later on. It's not just fecking logic, it's the human condition.
I'm saying, "who currently hates him"? It's a pretty simple question really.

Does there have to be a Messi vs Klose gulf in order for you to recognise it? This is your problem, not mine.
* We play better football with Welbeck in the team
Welbeck also had a good season last year, though it got interrupted by injuries. Don't get me wrong, I like Hernandez as much as anyone, but I don't let that get in the way of identifying his weaknesses, of which there are a few. It's not always going to be plain sailing for him and when he goes through a bad spell, it is then that these weaknesses will be massively highlighted. He needs to continue to develop his game if he is to be considered first choice. Welbeck is already snapping at his heels.
Hating a 18yr old academy player just because he isn't good enough is not human nature tbf.
I think it was his cockiness after scoring that beauty for the first team and then another in the CC (I think), I remember hearing that SAF and the coaching staff didn't like it either. This probably led a few people, especially supporters of other clubs to get the wrong idea about him when in reality it seems he's as nice a lad as you could hope for.
This was probably bollocks printed in the Mirror though. Personally, I didnt think there was anything wrong with the Usain Bolt celebration, which caused a little stir among some posters.
I really miss his genuine stupidity.Stuff like "Delfouneso > Pato" or "players cannot improve technically" are priceless.
Nonsense. Everything we do is in line with human nature (or else we couldn't do it), so the explanation becomes void. It's also human nature to ask yourself when you hate (or something slightly weaker) a player in the team you support whether it's unfounded bollocks. When you realise that it is, which you would when it came to Welbeck, you let it go. To bear irrational grudges against your team's players isn't any more "human nature" than to not do so, so your "explanation" is simply a rationalisation. "It's human nature" is a cop out for spineless, unthinking people. It actually is human nature though
The same way a woman can be repulsed by a man and his actions only to later learn to love the exact things she's hated to start off with.
I thought all people understood this? Being able to change your mind about things/people/places is part of being human.... FACT! It aint up for debate Laphroaig.

It was scholesy if I can remember correctly.
