Folk have been touting Gerrard, true he's having a great season for Liverpool but Vidic this season has been sensational. He's got himself 6 goals (only one behind Liverpool's 20mil super signing striker Robbie Keane
) and he really has led by example, really showing his authority in certain matches. If there's ever a time for a defender to be given Player of the Year (I know Rio last season but look at Ronaldo's runaway form), it has to be Vidic this season if he can keep it up carrick, almost
