FT:One of those frustrating games which we play so well.Better get it in before the site crashes.

I blame the camera angle :(

Really Really Really shit day, but we all surely knew that sooner or later that this kinda day was going to come so lets not get to down beat about it we're still 2 points clear with a lot of football to be played

We have no one but ourselves to blame for that. We should have scored many times but we didn't. I bet over there at chelsea they are gonna have a wankfest. Still gonna get relegated west ham.

I think Green never had to make only one good save. All the other shots on goal were routine saves!

They're just comparing players' stats on Sky and they put a photo of Carroll under Green's profile.

I agree !
I am waiting his next interview more then the next match!

look, jose has the upper hand now, we needed to win this, its to do with the mind games. Jose will bleet on and on about how they will now move forward. Its up to Fergie to beat him at the mind games whish is not easy when you have Roman behind you

I just watched Greenstreet Hooligans last night. I blame frodo.

feck off with this mind game bullshit. The only thing that matters is the performance on the pitch and the number of points we get.

that was not a good performance, possession football is fine, but we lacked urgency. We just did not show the desire to win it (long before they scored), quite opposite to the chelsea performance,.

Thought we looked flat in the second half when we should have come on. Perhaps having 8 days off was not good for us. I hate it when we lose to bottom feeders but W Ham played well. Still we had the talent to win but perhaps the pressure got to the players.

fecking west ham, just have to raise their game against us and spoil our mood, cnuts.

fecking Icelandic hobbit.

If Pardew was there we'd have won.

This was just a bad day for our team, and a very bad referee too. However I must admit that for our next game I would like Rooney to be benched

Sir Alex Ferguson was happy with his side's performance, despite seeing Manchester United suffer a first away defeat in the Premiership.

Nigel Reo-Coker marked Alan Curbishley's first game in charge of West Ham United with the only goal of the game at Upton Park.

He pounced 15 minutes from the end to dent The Red Devils' title charge, but Ferguson was not too downbeat.

"I think we played some fantastic football, but our finishing could have been better," Ferguson told Sky Sports 1.

"We had some excellent opportunities, but maybe with our decision making, and maybe our patience just to play at particular times and moments.

"I am happy with our performance, we didn't deserve to lose that, but I've been speaking about that for a few days in that we've been throwing a lot of chances away, away from home in many of the games, and today was another example of that."

Ferguson admits he was anticipating an improved showing from his side's opponents, following Curbishley's appointment as manager.

He added: "Obviously there's a great upsurge in energy, enthusiasm and optimism, and the fans were great to get behind them.

"If they'd played like that every week, they wouldn't be in that position, but that's what happens when you lose a manager and a new manager comes in, you can expect an impact to be made."

The defeat leaves United just two points clear of Chelsea, but Ferguson has backed his players to recover from the setback.

"We've got to show our mettle ourselves and that's the hallmark of champions as we've shown in the past," continued Ferguson.

"This team is young enough to be able to do that."
