West Ham vs. Manchester United

Why in the name of feck do we not have another striker who can score goals against better teams than Sunderland? Without Rooney we're toothless. Playing Hargreaves with Fletcher should never ever be attempted again. Dropping your second best performer of the season is also a pretty fecking big clanger.
 
Shit performance from the entire team, WH were on us from our first goal and I always felt they'd get back into it. We played crap and we didn't deserve anything from the game. Now, the lads need to take stock, get their minds off this and onto the next match and concentrate on getting back to winning ways. Yes it's bloody dissapointing but it's not the end of the world, no need for mass suicides. We look forward to the next game now, and yes let's hope that Everton do the business against Arsenal later.
 
Giggs was great(should had scored in the 1st half) and so was Ronnie but he should had let Saha take the penalty 'cause he our best pen-taker.. Fletcher was the worst today he had one decent shot but nothing else. Tevez AGAIN played too deep to get anything done..

Nothing yet on injuries...mind you, do we need them? As long as we have Upson and Rio's more talented brother we should do the Gooners.
 
Cheers Sam...really not sure what the reception on here will be like after that result, but the more knowledgable seem to know what's what after reading through the last two hours of the thread.

It did sound like we deserved it and ofcourse the accusation that we raised our game will be heard...and it is probably true, which makes the draw against Reading even harder to accept.

What more can I say?

full house today and all singing pretending its like that everyweek - the players raise their game and for one weekend its all hunky dorey at Upton Park

truely shows the gulf in class between the big boys and the nothing clubs.

The season is more than 2 games long funilly enough :)

We played as well at home today as we have been playing away most days, we don't have the best defence outside the top 4 for nothing

We played Derby a few weeks back and smashed them 5-0 they put on a better showing than you did. Perhaps before you pick bones with our team you should take a look at yourselves.

And you should start considering all other teams as a threat rather than thinking you can get away with resting some of your better players.

Im not knocking the team, mainly your fans - just find the whole thing pathetic as you know full well what Im talking about. Full house and everyone bouncing just because your playing United.... you should give us half your gate reciepts as we sell the game for you

Sorry I forgot it was a sell out today like it is for every match, maybe we should give every away team half the reciepts?

I also forgot how we only ever sing when were playing you

This is just pathetic, it's not our game of the season Spurs is, then Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Watford, Charlton. We have no grudge against you like you do us. It's just another game against tougher oposition to us. Even Millwall and Sheffield United is more of a selling point than you lot.

Trust me as i'm a West Ham fan and i'm sure I know more WH fans than you do and i'm sure I know more about being a WH fan than you do.
 
Just to back up CH's point about the crowd...we have hit capacity for every Premiership home game this season (and last, come to think of it), so to say we only turn out when we play you is frankly ludicrous.

How do those sour grapes taste, Religion?
 
Pull all the faces you want gents, at the end of the day you know aswell as I do your lot are always desperate to beat us and its a totally different game/atmosphere to the majority of your other games

paint whatever picture you want but the truth is its rather pathetic

Well I don't care, this is one of the first seasons i've looked forward to the game and thats only because of the caf and the return of Tevez.

It's not because were expected to lose either it's just generally not an exciting fixture for me, after all whats the point just so we can see Tevez, Rio and Carrick all play we've already done that enough times. Rooney isn't very exciting to watch, Ronaldo is but a lot of fans despise him, granted he is a quality player, one of the best in fact but unless your a Utd fan you don't like to see him fall to the ground after every tackle and holding his head after every mistake. Other than them I can't say I generally like to watch any of your players (i'm liking Anderson more and more)

So you can say it's our cup final, game of the season or whatever you like. All your doing is singing your own praises after a loss and trying to slag a better team off for what reason you think. I believe they say "clutching at straws". All your really doing is embaressing the rest of the Man Utd fans with your rubbish. Really it's your cup final mate as were you bogey team and it's always more exciting to beat your bogey team than a team you don't really care about.

So calm down a little bit, forget today and start getting ready for you next game... Against moire game raisers for which it is their game of the season (Only if they win though obviously)
