West Ham vs. Manchester United

----------------Green-------------

Neill------Upson---------Spector--------McCartney

-------Noble---Parker----Mullins----

Solano-------------------------Ljungberg

----------------Cole------------

Probably like that actually

To be honest i didn't expect to see Rooney in the team today but i though Anderson would play.

Our squad players, who we will surely need at one stage or the other, are not miracle workers. If you get them on the pitch when you have to after months of not playing, they won't produce. Fletcher started at Sunderland for that reason exactly, done very well, so why should he be dropped?

Well, yes of course, wont argue with that, it's just a tragedy, cause i got anderson in my fantasy team :D

What's the major fecking problem with just playing our best 11?

We've got Birmingham at home next, for feck sake

Anderson didn't even play on Wednesday, and aside from him the bench is pathetic

Looks like we are approaching this like an away game with that line up. Having said that our away form is superior to our home, so can perhaps understand that. Looking to hopefully stifle you out wide and play on the break.

Still, would rather have seen Ashton as the lone striker than Cole.

We will be alright I think. I just would have loved to see anderson instead of fletcher. Fletch just never impresses me.

No pace on Deano though

I can see it now, long balls to Cole, Cole holding it up knocking into the box for Noble or Parker to run onto

Without Rooney and Anderson we are asking too much from Ronaldo.

I suppose Fletcher will be the link up player. Well Fletcher if you wanted a time to shine here is your moment.

That is a ridiculous lineup. Today was a huge opportunity to put down a marker and put pressure on Arsenal. We should be playing our best available team. Where's the creativity in midfield? Why rest Rooney after he played a fantastic game at Sunderland? Why did we not just take him off at HT in that game if he needed a little rest?

I hope to hell Fergies not done another Bolton. We ended up bringing Anderson on at half time in that game to try and salvage the situation but it was too late.

Nah calm down mate. We are in a perfect run, and much confidence that's the most important thing. I think we can handle this. (and bring a-show on in 2nd half)

I don't understand why we've not got Rooney on the bench. I don't mind rotation and think the starting 11 Fergie has picked should be good enough to beat West Ham but why take an unnecessary risk like not having a back up striker. If anything happens to either of Tevez or Saha (!!!) we're going to have feck around with some 4-5-1 variant or try and use wingers or O'Shea as a forward like at the start of the season.

Somebody posted yesterday that they saw the team at the airport but they did not see Rooney. I wondered if it was a WUM but obviously Fergie wanted to rest him completely and not even make him travel.

I bet Ronaldo will be rested for the Birmingham game and that is why Fergie wants Rooney 100%for that game. I think he's taking too big a risk and doing a Benitez.
