West Ham vs Manchester United

What's the matter with O Shea?

Watching Anderson for the past few years he'll still sit back and be our deepest midfielder.

No he won't. He'll play where he played in mid-week when we went to 3 in midfield. Scholes will be the deepest.

Fergie was very happy with how Anderson played against Tottenham, when he began taking on players in a more advanced position, and the gaffer is very likely going to ask Ando to do that from the get go.

Pretty ballsy giving Gibson the nod ahead of Carrick as a reward for his game midweek, but that's Fergie for you, and it'll be a huge boost for GIbson. Here's hoping he makes the most of it.

Neville at centre back, this should be interesting.

that defence is well dodgy, even fletcher forced into right-back, that sickening...

gibson on the wing.... :wenger:

My FIFA result

West Ham 0 - 5 Man Utd

Fletcher header 6'
Giggs header 9'
Anderson slotted finish 13'
Gibson daisycutter 45'
De Laet surging run and finish 90'

This probably won't happen...

I'm sure T-Bag will be able to look after himself

It's a worrying looking line-up on paper, then again there have been a few worrying looking line-ups this season (away v Spurs) that ended up doing very well.

I've full confidence in Fletcher at RB, and I would have had full confidence in Neville at RB, but in CB it's a worry.

I can nearly see Anderson being used on the left and then Giggs push in behind Rooney, because the 2 of them have worked very well together of late.

We won 4-1 in the last game we play 433

Yeah but we didnt exactly play that well in all fairness....most agreed we were largely second best in the first half last week...i dont think its so much a 'oh god not 4-5-1/4-3-3 again' but more a 'why is Berbatov AND owen on the bench again for a game against a side in the bottom 5'...not sure what Berbatov has to do to get a run of games these days...feel sorry for him.

Need big performances from Brown and Evra today, as well as PIG.

Gibson chosen over Carrick is a surprise

1 Up top is also a surprise.

What a strange starting line up.

Well, for starters he has to be fully fit.

I'd be shocked and appalled if anyone had an illegal stream for this game. However, I'd like you to send it on for evidence, so I can report it online stream to the resident authorities. PM would be the easiest format for this. Cheers.

In terms of the side, that doesn't look great. The defence is weak, and I personally think we could do with another forward, although if we go behind, I could see us bringing on Owen and possibly letting off a central midfielder.

We've a poor record in recent years at West Ham though, so I'd not be unhappy with a draw today.

Berbatov is coming back from injury is he not?

Maybe its a strange one which they cannot risk him playing the full 90?

I'm not sure why people are puzzled by the formation. It's something that is effective away from home.

Kuszczak
Fletcher Neville Brown Evra
Scholes Gibson
Valencia Anderson Giggs
Rooney

The shape is fine, the only doubt is Gary at CB but with no Cole to deal with i'm not worried.

Anderson and Giggs to both score.

So we've got a full back on the bench, and our best midfielder this season at full back? and our best attacking player this season is no longer worth a starting place?

It does make you wonder sometimes. Imagine if Rafa named a team like that
