Gibbo could very easily become a very useful squad player for us. Still a long way to go however, but if he can continue to be a threat going forward then its something that our other midfielders miss (apart from Scholes). Ando/Fletch/Carrick aren't the types to have 4-5 goal attempts per game.

If you go by their reserve performances he is technically far superior. But there are no rules, people develop differently. Direct comparisons can be misleading.

He has only payed a few games. In the reserves he looked a class above. If you haven't watched him play in the reserves then it's no wonder you don't understand. His ability was never in doubt, just wjhether he would make the step up.
