West Ham vs. Manchester United

If we're this fecked at CB, why doesn't he recall Michael Keane, surely he'd be a better defensive option than Carrick/Fellaini?

Probably not able to recall him anyway.

Would anyone here be unhappy if either were on the bench today? If something happens to Jones it's going to be a real patch job in central defence.
Keane is on loan at Blackburn and Thorpe is ill or injured (can't remember which). I really hope Keane is integrated into the first team next season. I really think (hope) he'll make it here.

It's certainly an interesting line-up I guess, disappointed that Danny isn't up top with Rooney.

When do Evans and Smalling get back from injury? Hopefully its really soon as we look incredibly short at CB.

Not sure what I want with this game. A defeat will mean you'll be absolutely fired up against City but then again, a big win might be good for your confidence and it's always funny to see West Ham lose.

It would be nice to just have a CB who isn't always injured.

We have a squad that half of them get injured picking up a cup of tea. That isn't Moyes fault it has been there for a while.

I know, try telling that to some people if we get the wrong result today though.

Well the players should try get over them :D

I'm pretty certain our players are blameless in all facets of life this season are they not ? :-D

Only place Welbeck would have played is on the wing anyways when we have Mata/Kagawa here I think. Would have been a better option then Young but he is being rested for City game I'm betting. I'd probably do the same tbf.

A defeat would completely shatter out confidence for the City game, I imagine. You should be rooting for us to win! ;)

There's absolutely no doubt we aren't keeping a clean sheet. We'll concede at least 2. Really hope Rooney, Mata, Kagawa and Young are on their game because we're gunna need a few goals to have any chance of a win.

Interchanging CBs.

On a serious note maybe he just didn't want to tell who is playing where yet. It's hard to believe they'll actually be swapping.

Vidic hurt or something, he has to be better than Carrick at CB if that's the way they are lining up. Would have liked to see Januzaj and/or Welbeck get a start.

Hmm, I thought he might have been suspended after the sending off against Liverpool?
Or does that suspension come only after 7 days of the sending off?

Cardiff scored 3 against Scousepool, we couldn't score any
City scored 5 against Fulham and we let them snatch a draw at OT. I have stopped worrying about it for this season. We aren't going to be relegated, we might be lucky and not get in the Europa League.

Knowing Moyes, I imagine we'll end up with a formation like this.
-------------De Gea;
Carrick, Buttner; Fellaini,Fletcher,
MAta , Young; Kagawa; Rooney.
----------Rafael, Jones,

I know we need Welbeck for City but I think it's pointless playing Kagawa and Mata without a proper forward who runs in behind. I don't think Rooney will suddenly come out as an orthodox forward when we need him to.

Dont care how many you win by just make sure Mata, Rooney, Hernandez, DDG and the rest are all ready for City. Mata likes getting tucked into Manchester opposition.

No sendings off please.

He's done it plenty of times before. I've always thought Rooney was better up front then in the hole anyways.

Moyes is going for the modern approach. He's sticking his fingers up at the detractors and proving us all wrong with this revolutionary approach.

Speaking of revolutionary, Dwight Yorke's attempt at saying "Kagawa" just now was certainly that.

I haven't seen Wayne Rooney lead the line right from the front for us in a long time. Surely becoming accustomed to playing as a number 10 will hinder him as an out and put forward.

He also hasn't scored a great deal from open play over the last 12 months.

Wow that is a disappointing team, I know it's enforced largely due to injury but the defence looks very shaky. West Ham's directness looks like it could cause us a lot of problems. The fact he said he's going to rotate Fellaini/Carrick at centre-back doesn't fill me with confidence either. Surely better to choose one and stick to it, even though they are just poor options anyway.
