Ooof, death by a thousand cuts....
While Boris Johnson is a tool, replacing him with Jeremy fecking Hunt, chief NHS destroyer, is political suicide for the Tories.
They better be careful who they pick as a successor or the next election is going to be an abomination.
Is there anyone who isn't an utter twat who would replace Bojo?

Feck feckI seem to remember that method didn't work at one point, but it seems to work on all the differently implemented no-no's.

I think this discovery qualifies me to replace Boris as PM.
I don’t really have any respect or sympathy for MPs who supported him in the confidence vote a month ago, but have only / finally turned against him since then.
At the time of that vote, there was of course more than enough evidence to show that Johnson and his administration was both grossly incompetent and lacking in any morals.
Isn't he the guy who was kicked out of Labour?
Spot on.
He has not just become a liar. He is a compulsive liar and always has been.
He has not just become untrustworthy. He has been for a very long time.

Its amazing these people have only just realised Boris has 'feet of clay'.
When you hear a Tory 'grandee' like Rifkind observe on Newsnight that Boris is "good at campaigning bad at governing", you know the game is up, its just how and when will the deed be done?
However the Tory 'wanna be's' need to be careful, in Tory party history he/she who 'wields the knife, doesn't get to wear the crown'.
The issue is it is irrelevant who takes over, as they are all terribly inept, so it is inconsequential really.
Yes for the Tories I guess its just a question of which sacrificial lamb will do 'least worst' against Labour... and then who will replace the replacement after the GE?
And another one..
And another one..
Yeah, they have definitely lost the next election, as they literally have no good options to put forward to fight one, so it is just about damage control, and what the size of the defeat will be.
Political correctness gone mad.
Can't even hire a sexual predator to be the point of contact for someone to raise complaints about harassment without the snowflakes melting.
Going to get to a point soon where nobody wants to be the last to resign.
A government that consists of Boris, Raab, Patel, Zahawi and Dorries. What’s depressing is that those 5 will still attempt to run it all by themselves.
that's sadly less likely that a world with PM Patel and Chancellor MoggMy hope is that they all dig in so much that the next leader won’t want any of them around. Imagine a world where Patel, Mogg etc are all booted out of the cabinet.
However Starmer has to stay out of a 'dog fight' about the public serve unions, prior to the election, that is the only thing that will threaten a Labour victory in the next GE and that is to have another Jim Callaghan type 'winter of discontent', e.g. bins not emptied, rubbish in the streets, bodies not buried in cemeteries , train and bus service strikes, 'go slows' in various local authority departments etc.
The electorate by and large seem to be giving the public service unions the benefit at the moment, but when Boris goes and a 'reasonable' new Tory PM is elected and you can be sure the person they elect (probably right now sitting on the back benches) will be as reasonable a Tory as you can find anywhere. Then these strikes, go slows, work to rule etc. will seem less appealing... stay clear sir Keir!!
You have a lot of faith in the British publicErrrr......there are already strikes by train members as it is, with other unions planning on doing so this summer apparently, so not sure what that has to do with Starmer??
Labour are guaranteed to win the next election, no matter which irrelevant lickspittle that the Conservatives put up as leader.
I don’t see anyone who can unite this Tory party. It’s a bunch of self serving arseholes. They all had one agenda - Brexit. Brexit is now “done” and none of them really have an idea about what happens next let alone share that idea.My hope is that they all dig in so much that the next leader won’t want any of them around. Imagine a world where Patel, Mogg etc are all booted out of the cabinet.
