What next for Thomas Tuchel?

I think people probably overlook the bayern squad right now compare to about 5 years ago?

This squad is not in great shape and in need of building. Their old guards are on the wrong end of the 30s, they have problem on the MF and DF. However, due to Bundi they still be able to get most points like the last few years and probably would still get the trophy if not for the record breaking point from Leverkusen. Most of their first teamers are not on par compare to 5 years ago. So their squad has their problems and you cant blame it all in Tuchel. Hes get them to their usual places if you ask me.

I think United should go for him because he is the best possible out there. He got experience in PL, can stabilise the clubs for 1-2 years with the new structures bedding in and doing their work in building the squad. After that period, we can sit down and evaluate and if we see that there are better candidates than him, go for the next one. Right now, unfortunately for me, its not the right time to go for the unproven or young manager because United has too much on its hand to do and young managers going to find it hard for them to come in and do good.

This. They weren‘t favorites against Arsenal and they weren‘t favorites (by far) against Real yet were 5mins from making the final.

There is a reason they want to overhaul the whole squad. The team chemistry and hierarchy is in the gutter as well, and for quite some time.

The reality is Bayern are the weaker side, their forwards all carried knocks, and they didn't have particular solutions off the bench for this. Other than the subs I don't think Tuchel did anything wrong, and honestly if Kane and Musiala really couldn't stay on the pitch anymore then you can't pin that on him either. For all the "don't take out your best scorers" if the guy can't stay on his feet he's not gonna fecking help you anyways

He's still clearly a good option, I do think his football is very risk adverse though which worries me.

However, I do like his Werner Herzog accent.

I have a vision of him getting the Man United job, sitting down in his office and asking for videos of all the bad signings made in recent history, to avoid making the same mistakes. He is unhappy though because one is missing.

"I would like to see the Bebé".

I don't believe the Kane injury excuse given by Tuchel, I didn't see him pull up anytime during the game. But we will never know cos I don't think Kane will come out to say otherwise

Even if its true about the injuries then its still Tuchel's fault, The league was lost weeks ago, yet he played a full squad 3 days to the first leg where Deligt got injured. Last weekend vs Stuttgart played the many of the starters Guererro got injured again
Kane Sane etc got overplayed

We're not that desperate. :nono:

I'm actually on the fence lately, because he started to be very pragmatic, precisely what's needed for Bayern transition the fastest. But I don't know how his impact in the long-term will affect Bayern if he continues.

Preferably a 1 year extension and we can part ways if it doesn't work. If he continues next year at Bayern that also means the administration is backing him up enough to clean up the squad and bring new players.

Vincent Kompany slid into your DMs

Yea, I can't believe it!

I had to remember when was the last time my expectations were so low, but I don't remember.. never like now.

I hope for a huge surprise. Really!

Strange choice, he is seemingly a very intelligent man, speaks lots of languages, has a big reputation in the game and the players speak highly of him. Coaching wise; not sure and the only thing that sticks out is the relegation for obvious reasons. Burnley looked good in the championship when they came back up, but levels etc.

Definitely going to be an interesting one, maybe they’ve seen something nobody else has?

He can have half a season break and then take over Liverpool when Slot gets sacked

Go back to Dortmund and get beaten by Alonso and Kompany
