Haven't seen Good'ol PeterStorey or Jopub (or any other Gooners for that matter) posting over the last few days (actually since their capitulation against the Toon). Are they normally this quiet come the business end of the season?

Cheer up guys, we bottled it against Wolves aswell, just to keep it all interesting & stuff, you know, for the clash at the Emirates!

More seriously, kicking on from here on in, what is your minumum expectations for this season (can you handle another "bottling it big time")? (CC excluded).

Well we also have lives to lead too :D

For me right now if we can keep the 'disasters' down we have a great chance of taking the title.

Unusually I think there's a chance that Utd might actually bottle it.

Say what you like but your performances will have to improve dramatically if you are to not lose a few more, with some difficult fixtures to come.

We'll both drop a few more anyway but this is an unusual season in that nobody has really run off with it yet.

Although recent history says of course we will bottle it and of course Utd never bottle it - things change.

Chelsea have to beat you at least once to stay in there so there's a couple of very difficult games for you.

Should City get at least a point at the wend they are also well in there

I'd usually be assuming you or Chelsea have already got it in the bag by now

....but atm it doe'snt look like that

When Barca gets through with them they may never post again

Why ?

I'm assuming that tie is done and dusted anyway. Would'nt bother me to see us not putting out a full strength side for that tie

We have to be realistic

We have a great chance of getting a title and hopefully we can get further bouyed up by winning the League Cup although Birmingham will be a tough game. That game will be hard and is no gimme

FA Cup could be anybodies really - get a decent draw and you can easily find yourself in the semi

You could find the CL run stretching your squad to the limit so that could be in our favour

To be fair, I faced the music at 5pm on Saturday. I never go into meltdown.

So where's the gang leader, Peterstorey? :p

Yeah, it has been a very weird season. Like said in another thread, in a way the Wolves match is either going to serve as the kick in the back side SAF and the team have needed or we might actually just huff and puff like this all season.

Your defence might just cause you some problems though, but as you mentioned you do have a much easier run in and I feel the Wolves match was an opportunity missed as we still have to travel to the Emirates, SB and Anfield.

If City had to get anything from this weekend's match, I'd actually be really worried about them aswell.

That's incredibly defeatist. Yes, be honest, we're not favourites, all Arsenal fans would accept that, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try. It's doable. We were up in the tie after a game and a quarter, and that's when we had no players fit.

We've played them twice now, and we can learn from the experience. We could do it, and if we do win, we'll have knocked out our biggest competition to win the whole thing.

We will do you at the Emirates and win the league, shit defence and all.

you're no good at this:(

I would say that just whilst some people on this site are being a bit arrogant suggesting that United will easily win at the Emirates, a lot of the Gooners are sort of assuming we'll win. It's going to be a really tough game for both sides, and might well end as a draw, which would do nothing for either of us.

mmm.....

Like your optimism Al but for me this tie is a write off. Unless Barca are half a side there is nil chance imo

The key is next week - if we can go to Barca not chasing the game, we have a chance. A 1-0 or even a 0-0 would be a fantastic result and would give us a chance. Keep the faith!

Thing is that game will be dictated by Utds position wont it

If they can only need draw without causing themselves any damage then they'll set up differently than if they have to win

remains to be seen tbh

Why? Any team can be eaten. If you're good enough to challenge for the premier league, you can beat Barcelona.

Naa not for me not right now, especially if they are at full strength

no chance

none

tbh I'd say the same if they were playing you as well they are head and shoulders above any british side atm imo

Fair enough. I think any football team is beatable.

What if at the Camp Nou in the opening ten minutes Pique takes Van Persie down as the last man, gets sent off and a penalty is given?

I think we'll win at Emirates, Barca have hardly had a game all season (even Real rolled over) plus they can't play like they did last season when they did their whirling dervish thing and ran out of steam at 60 mins. I've already had a chunk of the 100/30 but I'm tempted by more.

I was first suggesting that they have a great reason for scoring 4 so quickly with such a high class striker, then realised they dont have him anymore... and all of it was a sarcastic remark.

Yeap i fit all that in in just a few words, comedic genius.

Yep another Arsenal thread and its Krafty,Wr8, Haventgotakloroux beginning to foam at the mouth again

Don't worry lads Drab and Alldonefor will be here soon to help the cause

Who's Drab?
