I wouldn't want us to lose but my reaction recently has always been amusement. It seems to be evident to everyone but our club officials that the manager is currently not good enough. Will he be? Maybe. Is it a huge risk in allowing time to find out? Definitely.

True, I haven't made any anti-Moyes thread yet, even though I've called him "a disaster" when he was appointed and been generally very critical since the Newcastle game.
Moyes 81 crosses against fulham was probably the lowest point of my man utd supporting career....he was given the biggest job in football and he has been on a mission to turn us into stoke.......so I just can't see why we would stick with a tony pulis clone when we should be always trying to play the right way at this club...would barcelona fans stand for tony pulis as manager? Doubtful

I think the lowest point of the season was the point when I realised things will never be the same again... yes, I'm a little slow. It took me til this year to realise it.
I'm just happy to have witnessed SAF's tenure. I'm sure we'll stabilise again but I doubt I'll see anything like the last 2 decades in my lifetime.
I'd say the lowest point of the last few seasons for me was "Aguerrrrroooo!!!"

For me it was either being thumped by City, or that Sunderland Semi-Final at OT... which was a far more bizarre performance/night then that Fulham game.
Oh that's probably my lowest point ever.
Being in the ground, in the Sunderland end, probably adds to that.
I kind of saw that one coming so I wasn't distraught, not in a defeatist way... just had a sneaky feeling.
Tbh I'm one of those who think that the Fulham game wasnt even that bad. I mean we played way too much down the flanks and that really should change but we had our fair share of chances and just should have won the game really.
We played WAY worse this season. City and Sunderland beeing good examples
I definitely felt worse going out of both cups, and probably quite irrationally bad after the Chelsea game. The losses before that were mitigated somewhat by my misplaced faith in us proving a point in that game and launching our season off an unlikely win there.
Yeah, for this season it would be one of those two. Probably City because it was such a punch in the guts by reality. The first time I realised how much work was needed to be done to get us competing for the league again.
Trying to keep a 1-0 lead to go into the extra time against Sunderland at Old Trafford has to be the worst experience of the season. We have already exited two competitions in an embarrassing manner this season at Old Trafford, I sincerely hope we are not adding Champions League to that.

Exactly. 81 crosses doesn't hold a candle to trying to see out a 1-0 lead before we'd even got to extra time. That was actual madness.
Im trying to envisage my emotional responses to various possible outcomes this evening. How happy will I be if we win, how sad will I be if we lose? I feel so utterly pissed off about football at the moment it is hard to imagine anything changing it one way or the other. My Mata high is a distant memory.
Yeah I expected City to win the title before kick off and had pretty much accepted that fate. They just had to toy with us a bit by almost throwing it away.
It felt like Barcelona in the Champions League in 2008 except it was Sunderland in Capitol One Cup.
I didn't entertain the idea of City dropping it before they went 2-1 down. I still reckon QPR would have got at least a draw if Bolton had won at Stoke.
It was another massive low point, simply due to the realisation that an actual decent technical manager 7 months into his job would not have coached and/or allowed a title winning squad, containing some of the cream of European attacking talent ,to resort to endlessly throwing the ball into the box... aimlessly.... 81 times with close to bupkiss other ideas.
The realisation that our manager has absolutely no idea how to attack effectively or coach the technical football that's required here, which has been a common negative point made against him during his previous job by avid Evertonians, and after a 10+ years in the premier league already, if he hasn't learnt by now, he never will.
Yes, it was a massive low point to witness and understand the ramifications it will have on us longterm.

I didn't..right near the end..I thought..we've done it...we've bloody done it. I reckon nearly 99% of the city fans did as well. It was such a numb horrible feeling when I heard...'agueroooooooooooooo'. My blood drained from my brain....it was like a horror movie....

I think that the Sunderland penalty shootout has to gone down as one of the lowest points of my Man Utd supporting career. It was simply pathetic. I was in a state of disbelief on Sunday though. It was a low point alright. I just couldn't believe it.
Yeah my point exactly...there has been much worse performances under moyes but the realization really hit home in the fulham game that we hit 81 crosses against the bottom of the table club at home which was our only tactic and still didn't win......moyes is basically turning a squad of world class players into stoke....stoke is his level and when he gets the bullet here I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up as stokes next manager
It wasn't about the result against Fulham, bit even about the amount of crosses. It was about the lack of tactical flexibility and our complete inability to adapt our approach according to the game flow.

Same for me. I didn't even watched the result/game there because I was sure that they will win. On hindsight, that was a good thing to do cause it would have hurt more if I had seen the Aguero moment live.

That season... ugh... 04-05... some horrible performances (Norwich away)... Ruud and Saha's lengthy injury spells... the sudden drop in form from United's top midfielders... Silvestre in central defense... the keeper problems. Terrible season and still finished third. Did smack Arsenal away and ran them off the pitch in the FA Cup final only to lose on penalties.

Noticed a few posts in the aftermath of the Olympiakos defeat that suggest the tide might be slightly turning with this, most recently @Woodzy in one of the Moyes threads but other posts too. Are people are more willing to entertain the idea that short term pain might be worth it for long term gain, that winning games might be a negative for us now as it secures Moyes in his position?
No. I can't believe any fan would want us to lose to Liverpool or City.
I don't.. but if some body told me losing to either would reverse our current situation, I'd fcuking take it. With Moyes or without him.... so not really to get Moyes out, moreso to stop the slide and just get back to being ourselves. Either way, it's .... not .... going ... to ... happen.
