I think England will benefit from FIFA's weird seeding formula that allowed group H to be so weak. So I think a great ride up to the quarterfinals is possible.
Only one thing is for certain and that is that watching them will be painful. Every tournament I say never again but I suspect I'll be shouting "FFS!!" at them as usual this time. They're a very mediocre side and they will be shitting themselves to the point of being barely able to pass the ball to each other. I predict they go out in the group stages.

It’s probably the weakest looking England squad for at least the last five or six major tournaments.
We usually have a lot of very good players and some that would start for any team.
England have been outrageously unlucky with penalty shootouts and disallowed goals, etc. in the past.
That said, there are still a few bright sparks in the team - Kane, Sterling and Lingard is a slick attack.

It’s simply because England field a lot of players from United’s rivals so non-English fans here hate.
I think England would make it to the quarter-final at least, and we would get knocked out by Germany.

I Can never understand why the English fans are always so glumly about England. 
I'm an Irishman born in Holland so this is my first world cup without a team to support.
If Southgate plays a side like this through the world cup I'll row in fully behind you lot! I still think there's a place for Vardy but when you have shit all in midfield, playing Dier behind a load of attackers is something I can get on board with!

Belgium. We’re always slow starters and need a result off the last group match. We won’t get it.
Is it really worth calling it hate? People just like to see big guys fail and England "never" fails to disappoint and everything being said/written in English also gives foreign people the opportunity to follow things first hand, as opposed to have to rely on what their domestic media translates for them.

11101 does a pretty good job of describing them funnily enough. They're hardworking, good discipline and hard to beat. Lewandowski has a great record for them afaik, so its hard to stop them from scoring. They're a decent team, there's no donkeys and they're well able to punch above their weight and grind out wins. No one will have an easy game against them. If you guys are similarly hardworking and well organised, you'll probably beat them. If your not, you probably won't.
