Wigan Athletic vs Manchester United

I do think it was obstruction and DDG was clearly expecting to get it but it is a dangerous game to play on his part. Better to have a little fracas as the refs usually blow up and settle the players down before letting the corner go.

Do we have a left back or are we going to make Young play left wing and left back all game?

for all the "barcaesque" play from wigan they havent really threatened other than the disallowed effort.

They're like a shitter Bilbao.

37% possession against Wigan. Embarrassing. Gotta be the worst half this season with 11 men on the pitch.

How's he supposed to do that without illegally touching and potentially fouling Caldwell.

Step to the side? Run out and highlight the obstruction? Penos are never given in that instance. When someone is fouling you like that, falling over is rarely the safest option when defending. As you said yourself it was a soft foul and an incredible spot by the lino.

We're worryingly poor without Scholes in the middle of the park.

Why would you do a fecking fancy flick there? Idiot.

Better, need to get our wingers (especially Valencia) in the game more.

Even if it is a foul... it's fairly soft one, and a pretty incredibly spot form the linesman.

Maybe these officials are actually in our pocket :nervous:

At least we've got someone on the pitch worth cheering on in this match. Quick, someone come up with a chant for our boy Dowd.

Rooney has been soooooo bad. Give the ball to Rooney and we lose possession. He's been so predictable. Giggs has been a mess.

Cleverley on please. I don't understand the opinion that it wasn't a foul, you can't go in with the sole intention of impeding the keeper, can you?
