Wigan Athletic vs Manchester United

fecking shocking performance, individually, collectively, tactically, anything you like. Not a single positive.

Let this be a lesson to all the cnuts who thought the title was already ours.

you fecks.

feck off we were 8 clear title should have been/be in the bag we were piss poor tonight and Fergie had a shocker esp with his subs.

Jones has been dog dirt

Everyone was shite tonight, one of the worst performances ive seen from a united side. Just never got going.

Fair enough it was a hard game and Wigan played well but doesnt take away how shite we were tonight

No one came out of that game with any credit. Hopefully it will have given us a boot up the hole for the weekend.

unbelievable. what a pathetic display from the referees and we were not so good either and how the scouse inbred cnuts can moan 'conspiracy' is beyond me. We were robbed. Listen, don't quote me and say we didn't deserve it because I don't give two fecks if we didn't deserve it. Football is about moments and not about deserving a win/loss.

So annoying having to watch that tonight for 95 minutes to see one effort on goal that their keeper needs to dive for. Salt into the wounds is having mini swede head Martinez on your screen every 5 minutes. Can't stand him, god knows why people like him.

Shocking from us tonight.

I thought this one would be tough, but I really didn't think we would play that badly with so many players having an off day. It will be really interesting to see what Fergie has to say about that. I expect Norwich to give city a tough game and I'm sure we will see a different united against Villa.

Still, as I said a few days ago...anyone who thought this race was over was living in cloud cuckoo land..

Worst performance of the season I would say. And at such a crucial time.

Giggs had the worst game I have seen him have in recent memory. Just awful all round.

Wrong tactics and wrong approach completely from the start.

Rooney was utter gash and deserved to be taken off. The way he let Maloney walk past him for the goal was a disgrace.

I've said it before tonight, but did we really need to marginalise Berbatov in the way we have? Welbeck's been in poor form of late and Hernandez has been patchy all season. Another option couldn't have hurt.

I wouldn't say that. I think Nani did his best to inject some life into us but when there's no movement, there's only so much he can do.

Piss poor. Wigan deserved the result.

On a plus is this could pave the way for a win a city to take the title. We will come back from this bigger and stronger, just at the right time. We're still 5 points clear. A month ago, we would have bitten an arm off for that.

Indeed.

Berbatov might have given us some semblance of presence and control up front tonight.

Berbatov AND Owen would have been better than these two.

We're distributing medals and expecting guards of honour

Absolutely shocking performance but a 5 point lead at this point is still very good. If we win our next 2 games (both at OT) I think we'll be in a fantastic position and I fully expect City to drop points at Norwich and/or Newcastle.

The best player is always he who does not play.

It was such a collective shocker that I don't think Berbatov would have changed anything. He could have been on the bench though, instead of Park or Pogba.

Agreed, Berbatov is still a quality player and a bit of magic in the box was needed but for whatever reason we have decided Berbatov is no longer a Man Utd player despite there being 2 months of the season left to go. We would rather have a potential contractless Pogba on the bench over him who never actually comes on anyway unless we are comfortable.

posted the same in the wigan credit thread. Why play a very young striker and out of form striker instead of last seasons top scorer and someone very experienced?
