Wolves vs Manchester United - 29/01

Haven't got access to the game, how is Vidic playing?

Boring is fat and ugly. And he likes to take a thermos to football matches.

Fo real.
As the above poster says, Louis was banging them in when he first came.

When he strings a run of games together he shows hes a very good player, injuries and selection have stunted him a bit really.

Right now he is in far better form than Ruud, especially today, they are worlds apart in effort attitude and aptitude.

Bigjet's half-time report:

Saha has been great. Quality player. What I like about him, is that he goes straight forward -no chichi or ronaldesque things. His only aim is the goal (or a pass to score a goal)

Rio has been everywhere in defense and has done pretty well in commanding our midfield.

Vidic hasn't shown much to impress but let's give him time.

I would say an on-form Ruud is more clinical in front of goal.

Vidic has done everything he's had to do, bar a breakdown in communication with the Nev where Vidic didnt want to commit himself and leave space in behind it seems.

And he sent a great ball over the top for Saha, a few wild clearances but he's been solid...and he looks feckin hard, him and Wes at the back, solid as a rock...though the Orange one has been a bit wayward at times today.

Ruud's on the different level though. I don't think you should get too carried away. Saha's a fantastic striker to have on the bench.

No no I agree, on form Ruud is terrific, he just annoys me sometimes, because he doesnt look like he's arsed. His touch is sloppy and he doenst look sharp, and its been like that for a few weeks, whilst Saha in this game is the opposite.

As you say, its nice to know we have the option there, just hope he can stay fit.

If I'm honest I don't think Ruud's as good as he was in his first three seasons. He had real hunger back then. That said, he's scored well over 20 goals this seson, so far. . .so he's still very very good.

Ruud gets all the credit that he is due but i believe there is no doubt that Saha could be his equal given the chance of first team play. They are different sort of forwards thus they can play at the same time. RVN is a legend no doubt but certainly Saha could become one.

He hasn't done anything wrong but we can't say he has impressed. I was only saying I haven't watch enough of him to be able to have an objective opinion.

Saha won't ever become a legend. He'll always be a very good back up striker.

He's good when he's instinctive. But as soon as he's got time to think, he always fecks up.

Total agreement. Burton game was the perfect example.
